Hi, hope you ladies don't mind i'm posting this on behalf of a friend who isn't great on the net.
She has been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for a few years. She was accepted for IUI and finally after a long wait got her time to start treatment. She was to contact the hospital when her period arrived.
She did this and got herself all worked up for starting the injections and treatments. She was cycle day 2 and went to get her scan.
When she was scanned the nurse said she had one follicle on her right ovary that was too big and could interfere with treatment so it was all abandoned for that cycle.
She was quite depressed as you could imagine.
She was just curious as to whether anyone else had had this happen and does anyone know what happens if she goes back on next cycle and it is the same situation? Also if it does happen to be the same the next couple of months will they need to abandon IUI all together?
If anyone could help i'm sure she'd appreciate it. I will pass on any responses to her.
Thanks in advance.
