baking thread!!

thought i'd start a baking thread.
dont kno if anyone else is into baking but the last few weeks iv been gettin in to it so thought id start a thread.
we can help each other out with little cheats or recipes n ideas.
im not sayin i an expert but its something i enjoy.
i'll upload a pic of my first atempt of cupcakes that iv done today in a sec from my phone

u should see how much buttercream is left think the reciepe is for like 100 cupcakes lol

I keep baking butterfly cakes or cookies am loving it don't think my in-laws are though or my brother in laws as i keep giving them loads and they are wanting to all lose weight...oops lol x x x

It's a basic recipe cake where you add cocoa to 1/2 of the mixture and orange juice and peel. When the cake is done you cover it with melted chocolate and you let it cool... We skipped that part as it has 10000000 calories already without the melted chocolate on it...

it cnt hav that many calories surely?
i tried make a sponge cake last week was really nice but wen i did the icing i kinda dropped the bottle of colouring in. i still put the icing on but it as awful so we chipped the icing off to eat the cake lol

It calms me greatly! but not so great for the waistline so hubby often takes batches to work

I haven't baked in forever!!!! I'm dying to though. My brothers ex bought me a mini cupcake maker for Christmas and I've been dying to use it.
I think the last cakes I baked were chocolate mock wedding cakes and buns. White chocolate cake is amazing. I'm itching to make more!
I really want to make chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing again but DH is allergic to nuts
