Hi guys

had a scan today and sadly there is no heart beat, I have to go to the main hospital tomorrow for a second scan to comfirm, but they have said I have had a missed miscarraige?? what does that mean......

I was 11 weeks gone, and I was scanned at 7.4 weeks with good heartbeat, but they say its only the size of 8.4 weeks?

im confused ! I had the tinyest bleed a couple of days ago, no pain, and nothing else. just cant quiet beleive it !

I'm really sorry to hear this hun
A missed miscarrige is when the baby dies inside you but you don't know untill you have a scan. :(

thank you..... I have to travel about 100 miles tomorrow to get another scan and then prob the same again next week for a d & c I think

Oh no, thats the last thing you need driving that far, isn't there any hosps nearer to you or can you not stay someone where near by? If you do have to have a DC I advise you have someone to drive you back home

I was at our local hospital today, they arnt very big, have to go to nearest big city, my OH will take me there so isnt too bad xx ( i would have had to have the baby in city too if all had been ok )

Im so sorry to hear your news, and that you have to travel so far to have it confirmed. I had a missed misscariage in febuary. Im here if you need to chat. xx

i am so so sorry
I have been in your situation too many times, sadly i have had 4 missed m/c and its not something i wouldn't want anyone to go through   princess pudles is right, a missed m/c is when the baby dies but your body carries on with your pregnancy, usually with no cramps or bleeding, no way of really knowing that something is wrong and is usually picked up from a scan, i personally feel that this is a bigger shock as in most cases isn't expected.

its even worse that you have to go for a second scan to have it confirmed, did they say why you had to have another scan? through my experience there has to be 2 sonogrophers (sp) to confirm it maybe with it being a small hospital they didnt have that

take care and if you need to vent off or have any questions pm me
thinking of you

So sorry for your loss. I found I had a missed m/c exactly a week ago. :( Baby was measuring about 7.5 weeks too.

I booked in for a re-scan and D&C the following day. Is it poss for you to book a D&C for teh same day and cancel if need be?

All the best

I am so sorry for your loss  I've been there too, so I know what it's like. I was going to answer the question about the missed m/c, but babydust beat me to it.

I hope you find some comfort in this community. We're here to support you

just back from Hospital had it confirmed, going down on monday for a D & C .

our local hospital dont have sonogrophers, it was a consultant that I saw there yesterday at a gyno clinic.

thanks for your comments, think I might need someone to talk to in time, just not quite ready yet !

I'm so sorry.  I had a missed miscarriage last July and this board really helped me through the tough times. I also felt a bit of closure after I had my D&C.
