Confused about periods

I'm confused about when i should have my period, i miscarried at 8 - 9 weeks, i went for scan on 12th week but no heartbeat had d and c on same day. Should i be counting weeks for next period from time of miscarriage or d and c?

From the time of the d + c I think. But really it's quite random when you get your period. I got mine 4 weeks, and 4 days after the d + c. But a lot of ladies don't have one till a couple of weeks after that. Hope this helps
