Just a quickie update... thank you so much for all your messages, and to Jodie for being a star text buddy!

Will type up a proper birth story soon but basically i got sent home at about 11pm last night as contractions were irregular and was still only 2cm... well by the time we walked off the ward, got to the car and drove home they started coming every 2 mins....

got home rang the hotline back and went straight back again and i was 6cm!!

no time for epidural although i begged and begged.. and then at the pushing part they took the flippin gas and air off me as well!!! I was calling the midwife a liar and allsorts as she had promised she wouldn't take it off me!!!

i won't lie.. the pushing sensation and getting her head and shoulders out was IMMENSE and something sort of took over and made me push even though you don't want to!

So on paper 1st stage labour was 2hr 50, 2nd stage pushing - 6 min, 3rd stage placenta 4 mins...

and when they checked the placenta there was a TRUE KNOT in the umbilical cord! which is meant to mean a very lucky baby.. it literally had a complete knot in it which could have been very dangerous... thank god i had no idea - how worried would i have been about that!!!!

anyway got home 5am... hubby sleeping... me, sis and Josie having girly time with little Emma. Will do a proper story soon but thanks again for all your support and messages x x x x
