Baby wipes on newborns??

You may laugh at this but the best stuff in the world for baby's skin is extra pure virgin oil,it is the most natural thing to keep their skin moisturised and soft, this isn't a wind up it is fantastic, nut obviously only a tiny amount.

As for wipes,I used water and cotton wool (cool, boiled water) then wipes after three months but it is down to personal taste. And the wipes must be okay for babes skin or they wouldn't be allowed to sell them.

For the first couple of weeks we used cotton wool & water but then went onto wipes & Jamie's been fine with them. I prefer the huggies or Tesco's own brands.

i will use reusable wipes for the first few days, then i will use both depending wether im out or not :)

I bought lots of bits too, so did my friends and family. I've barely used any shampoo still though (I don't bath Damien everyday as it makes his delicate skinb even drier), I use only a touch of baby bath and thats it. No body wash etc. I use tesco own sensitive baby wipes and Damien has always been fine and never had nappy rash with them. Didn't like johnsons or pampers wipes at all. For the first 6 weeks though I used cotton wool and water on Damien's bum and to clean him in the day when I wasn't bathing him. now it's a wipe down with a baby wipe and off he goes :D

I prefered using warm water and cotton wool on my newborns. The wipes are awfully cold, unless you invest in a "wipe warmer"! I think they're about £25.

At a later stage, I started using Pampers Sensitive. We also get a "Aromatherapy Baby Wipe" here in SA.... called Smellie Ellie.
I don't like Huggies at all - I find them too hard.
