We've got £80 worth of mothercare vouchers and were thinking of putting them towards one of those electronic baby swings. Was just wondering, as they're quite pricey, are they worth the money? Babies always look so chilled out in them, swinging away :) Poppy seems to like being swayed back and forth in our arms, it soothes her, so we thought a swing would be a good idea.

^^^WSS!
It was definitely money well spent :)

I would recommend trying her in someones first, just to make sure she'll like it.

Yup

Would defo recommend - you get some with nice relaxing lights/music ect.

:)

I never thought about buying one until E was 12 weeks old and thought there wasn't much point spending so much money if she wasn't going to be in it long.

A few of my friends have sworn by them though - saying it's great to put them in whilst you catch up on the housework etc.

We looked on ebay and there were loads going for half their original price - definitley worth checking on there first :) I'll be buying one when I have my next to use from day one - that way i'll be getting the most use out of it x

I got one because they looked fantastic! I've looked after young babies before and my leg gets tired constantly bouncing it so to me, one that did it for me seemed like the best plan ever. Of course, what i wasn't counting on was the non-electric one that we were given that my bunny sits under and bounces

Ifan is asleep in his now! We got the rainforest one by Fisher price and he absolutely loves it x

i bought mine when lil fella was 9 weeks dunno what i done before i bought that madness i say hearing people dont have then lol :p x

Hmm, for a different opinion, Lily didn't like hers after the first couple of weeks, had to be constantly watched in it for when she started crying. I would also recommend having a look on Ebay or getting a second hand one, they're half the price and nearly always immaculate.

We had a 2nd hand one for my son. It took up loads of room and he looked really unimpressed in it lol. It never put him to sleep once either.

Jack loves his swing! He has the Ziggy Zebra one from Toys R Us. It has 6 different speeds (he has it on 4 because he's a bit of a speed freak lol) and also plays music! He lays in it daily and often falls asleep! x

I Really, really want this swing! It's lush

Does anyone have one of the cheaper ones? I found one in Argos for 30 quid! Are they just as good?

I got one as a gift it was bright starts one. And even though Emily loves being rocked and swayed to sleep especially when she had colic she hated the swing. She's 4 months now and still hates it! It's hardly been used. I'd sell it to you but I'd need to talk to my friend who bought it first.

I'll try and find a pic of it but I think it's called the biscotti swing or something like that.

Actually I'll go try taking a pic now since I'm awake anyway lol

I'll have a look and see how much he bought it from new. He said a while back if she didn't like it I could jut sell it and get her something else.

Let me know hun. She's been in it about 5 times for no longer than 10-15 minutes doesn't like it at all! But my friends 2 other kids didn't like their swings either

X xx x
