Ok... well unfortunately for me this is not a good birth story
Baby is fine before anyone thinks the worse.
I went in for induction as they said baby was too big and had to come a little earlier than meant too. They put the pessary in on day 1 and nothing happened apart from contractions... day 2 the put pessary number 2 in and the same again nothing... this went on for 4 days. I had the contractions but i was not dialating what so ever so eventually they put me on the drip. 12 hours later the cotnractions were very bad and i was put on the epidural.
After a further 8 hours i had only got to 6 cm in dialation and had stopped opening so i was then told it had to be a c-section
So at 11.27am on saturday 1st september Stevey John Adams was born weighing in at an impressive 9 pounds 9
2 days later they sent me home, i was not ready and told them this but i was given no choice.. they needed the beds. Another 2 days later while at home my wound became infected, i was told to go to the hospital to get the correct antbiotics for the infection... half an hour after they looked at my c-section i was rushed into theatre as the bug was not only in my wound but killing the skin around the wound also and it needed to be removed ASAP. I then spent a week and a half in hospital and they have left me with an open wound with a vacume pump attatched which is meant to heal it faster (6 weeks). From what we can tell, i caught a superbug. I'm in no way better yet but i'm getting thereand glad to be home with my boy.
