So we have a real problem here...

I am from Greece my oh is from Canada we both live in Norway... A right mess...

Anyway we need a name that is easily pronounced in Greek, English and Norwegian
My parent would love a Greek name too ofc but I it's not set in stone for us.

Usually in Greece you only have a name but we will use a middle name too as its quite common here...

Right
Our last idea (mine as my oh only says what he Dosent like :wall:)
Is Erica Amelie (milly)
Or Erica jade (E.j)
I like phoebe that's a Greek name but didn't find any middle names to actually go nice with it.
I like holly but in Norway o is pronounced u so that would be Hully of any Norwegian would attempt to read that :wall:
We both like kyveli ( a Greek name ) but no idea with what middle name will sound ok.
I like Molly too but the same pronunciation Norwegian problem...

Please any help is welcome any suggestion really

I like a bounce of names but I love none ifykwim?

The bean will be without a name for long long long time I foresee lol...

I am not keen on Erica if I am honest, it's the way it sounds when it's pronounced, it's too harsh if that makes sense. Love Amelie and Phoebe though!

Hmmm maybe, things sounds different to me ifykwim as English is not my native language. Erica sounds quite epic lol but yes it's not one o hose cute little girl names like Lilly etc etc. does it sounds nice to you of it was for an adult for example?is that what you mean?
It's a Scandinavian name so it will sound ok here.

Hmmm how to explain what I mean, all the emphasis goes on the EriCA sound, it's quite a sharp sound. Does that make sense? But like you say, maybe it's pronounced differently where you are. Anyway, it's your baby so it doesn't matter if I like it lol.

I love Amelie and Phoebe (OH has veto'd them both though!)

As you know Holly is one of our current fave's, however Hully doesn't have quite the same appeal

I know Emma is a very popular name in Scandinavia so what about a variation such as Emily?

xxxxxxxxxx

My oh Dosent like Emily :wall: he had a friend that was stupid apparently at 5 grade with that name

Emma means blood in Greek language so we can't use it or my family will have a shit fit lol...

I like phoebe jade !!!! Let's see what my oh has to say though

Phoebe Jade is nice. So is Amelie Jade.

Looks like I'm in the minority at the moment, but I love Erica.

I have a Phoebe so I'm biased :)

I would like another Greek name this time but can't find one OH likes! I'm not Greek but I love everything about Greece :)

Well after almost 1/2 night discussions we are still at 0...
He likes ( not even likes I would say he tolerates) more Americanized names as he is from Canada... Like Lora, Laura, Lucy etc that I absolutely hate lol...

im a laura and not realy a fan of it x

What about Luisa? My sister is called Luisa and I love it!

OH's ex is a Laura so obviously I hate the name

(actually she is a lovely girl, I have known OH for 17 years and met her a good few times when they were together many moons ago!!)

I still don't like the name though - sorry!

What about Lauren?

xxxxxxxxxx

Maybe I don't know :( all those L names remind me an American movie or sth lol...
Who would have think that picking a name will be so hard lol :(

I don't like "L" names as such either....

Odd...

It is a very difficult decision hun, we have our boys name but quite a few options for a girl.

I reckon we're having a boy though!

Keep us posted hun!

I am kind of leaning towards "preferring" a little girl, although I honestly don't mind! I have lots of nephews and boys are excellent

Still looking liked a little Josephine (fifi)

What do you think about Erica Carnat ?
