Well, my yellow with a hint of blue bump turned a definite shade of blue and my little man FINALLY arrived at 5.04am on Christmas day, weighing 7lb4, and 17 days over due!
I didn't get my natural home hypnobirth, more of a medicated eviction in hospital, but we're both fine (although, having a needle phobia has led to one or two mental scars!). I'll try and get the story down in words soon, at least what I can remember of it, before it all disappears - it already feels quite dream-like!
I've found breast feeding harder than I expected and am currently combining breast, expressed and formula to make sure he's getting fed properly. He was looking dehydrated when he was on breast alone, my boobies just weren't up for the job initially. This was also combined with a bad technique (taught to me by a midwife!) which made my nipples SO sore and still recovering!
Anyway, he is absolutely gorgeous and I can stare at him for hours and hours. Since the feeding has been sorted out, he's a totally chilled out little dude and just eats, sleeps and poos! Love him to bits!
(Forgot to say, we've not got a name yet!)
