I'm currently trying to convince myself that i'm not all of a sudden going to be 15 weeks or something just cos they're scanning me haha.

No I wasn't charting JD, I just went from my LMP which was 26th October and it gave me 2nd August but midwife said 1st August. I could be a week or so out yet but I think only a week tops! When I was pregnant with my daughter, at my first scan the woman asked me how far I think I am? I said about 10 weeks, she said nope only 8 weeks 5 days! I do hope my dates are right though...I like this EDD! hehe

1st August is a pretty cool edd!
Although cool that when you have your scan you could be a bit further ahead! FX!
I was charting so i'm pretty sure unless i implanted late i should be about right, but in my head i seem to believe i'm further on no idea how i've come to that conclusion haha

I thought they might say I was a bit further on when we went for the scan on Tuesday - but as it turns out they put me back 4 days instead!

My friend made a valid point the other day - that being 1-2 weeks late would make the difference of a whole school year!!!!

Yep it certainly does, my daughter was due late august but didnt make an apperance untill september

This little one is due on the 17th August

I'm 18th August. My birthday is the 4th August, and my boyfriends is on the 20th of August, so I'm hoping the baby will arrive in the middle - which would be around the 12th. We were both the youngest in our class at school (not the same class as he is a couple of years younger than me), and I always really liked it. It made me feel clever. How tragic is that!!

Call me thick but a few of you guys seem to be having a scan a lot earlier that what we do here is cos they are private ones cos we dont get one til we are between 12-15 wks.And sometimes you dont even get that my friend was 15 wks and fed up of waiting so went and had one done privately think it was close on £100!!!

I've been seeing my consultant religiously since the 23rd december. As i've had quite a few early miscarriages they're keeping a close eye on me.
Last week he asked me how long I could wait before having a scan (he was hoping i'd wait until 9 weeks) but I said that I was struggling not knowing if there was "something" there. So i'm hoping to finally see a heartbeat.

I only had one at the Early Pregnancy Unit this week because I was worried about having some abdominal pains - midwife said today that I'll get another between 12-14 weeks as standard.

See thats another thing we havnt got a EPU here!!!I am having the same bad pains bad back etc etc and i have been to the doctor and to A and E as was so worried at one point and all they could say is sit tight and if you are gonna lose it then theres nothing anyone or anything you can do alot easier said than bloody done so im just sitting here crossing all the fingerrs under the sun possible that everythings ok but have to wait atleast another 6 wks + which is gonna seem like forever!!!

Nikki thats basically what the consultant has told me. They've put me on baby asprin, to see if that helps.
But other than that they're not keen to start me on any injections or anything else.
I'm having a panicy day atm though and not sure what to do with myself, i find days like today are good for sleeping through haha.

Where abouts are you hun?

It sounds harsh but the GP is right. We lost a baby at 5 weeks in November and basically it's true - if something goes wrong this early there is absolutely nothing anyone can do. It basically is your body telling you that baby wasn't right. It is definitely easier said than done - but you just have to leave it up to fate hun - what will be will be.

Im in Buckinghamshire Babe!!!

They think i had a very early miscarriage in Janueay as i i was only a couple of days late but god i was in agony and there was so much blood and clots (sorry)etc!!!I just thought i was having a bad period and took to my bed for 2 days until it got to much and rang the emergency doctor who told me to go to A and E then they just said there is nothing anyone can do let nature take its course and sent me home didnt have a dnc or anything but one doctor was really rude and had me in tears basically said what are you doing here???

Im sure everything will be ok for us all all we can do is pray xx

If it's any consolation - I miscarried at 5 weeks and was still told by the doctor on the gynae unit that I was wasting her time because I'd never been pregnant (because we all get 6 positive tests when we're not pregnant don't we).
