Hi everyone - another Aug dueee here - around 14th which having just got through the longest Xmas ever feels like a whole lifetime away!!!

Going back to an earlier comment - if 2 wks late then affects a whole school year but if on time will be the youngest in the year and off to school earlier than most!! Not sure what's best!!

OMG - Nikki same for me except worse; we are due on 23rd August( ) which is the wedding date of one of my BEST friends for whom I am meant to be a bridesmaid!!!!!!!!!

She may actually kill me dead. Ok, probably not - she's a lovely person and will probably be really happy for us but I know she'll be really disappointed

Am going to speak to her this week as I don't think it's fair to leave it too late...wish me luck!

Nikki and babyblonde - this happened to Geordielass (now Geordie&Bairn) when she was pregnant. As far as I can remember she was due a couple of days after the wedding, and she went to the wedding anyway wearing a STUNNING maternity dress, then gave birth a week or so later. I might be wrong though. You certainly shouldn't discount going, unless it's like 543265745 miles away anyway. Plus you may be one of the lucky ones who give birth 4 weeks early in which case you can take the baby with you!

Thanks debecca - I was just going to post! I actually spoke to my friend yesterday - she's over the moon for us (she's such a good mante, I knew she would be) and not upset at all. We've decided that she'll assume we won't make it - as we won't know til very close to the time (well after she needs to order meals etc) but that if there is any way we can feasibly make it we will (i.e. if baby is early and well).

Unfortunately it is about 4 hours away (and that's if you go direct, not if you stop every 5 minutes for a wee).

Me me Me!!! Can i join too??? 19th August but hopefully will be early (1st baby was dead on due date 31st Aug, second baby was 3 days early 16th July).... talking of hot summers, it will be about 120 degrees plus here by May/June, done it once before and its bloody hard work, not looking forward to that bit again!
Scan tomorrow ooooh can't wait.

Can i join too???!!!! I think my date is going to be around 30th Aug. Went for an early scan on 29th as i thought i was about 8 weeks then but have to go back on 15th Jan as it was too early too see anything.

Sorry to gatecrash, but one (or a few!) of you might have a baby on my birthday, August 30th

Despite being nearly a year younger than the oldest kids in my class at school, it was never a problem for me - in fact I was always one of, if not the tallest (not to mention very clever of course - although that seemed to disappear once I reached adulthood )

I often think how much of a giant freak I would have felt like had I been born a few days later and been a year lower at school, I was self conscious about my height it as it was

I have a few friends with birthdays around the end of August too, and they also never had any problems with being one of the youngest in their year either, so don't fret ladies!

I have a mini confession to make.
Last night/this morning at about 4am when i couldn't sleep, G made a deal with me that if i shut up and went to sleep that he'd get me a test to pee on. (i have no idea why, but its like an addiction, need that re-assurance)
So, today when i wake up i tell him he has to go to sainsburys and get me one, and it had to be a first response, or the cb digi where it gives you the week. He got me a FRER, so i was happy (i think the cb one would've made me panic if it'd said anything less than 5 weeks) And the positive line was there before i'd even finished pee-ing, and the control line is so faint compared to the +tve line.
It sounds so sad but i've never got to this stage wthout complications before, so doing that test today i've stared at it more than when i got the first bfp
