*** August 2018 Mummies ***

Congratulations! What an amazing early Christmas present!!! X

Hi,

I got my first ever BFP on 23rd December......best Christmas present I could have asked for!

I am not sure what my due date will be yet but looking on line to one of those calculators it says 30th August, so please can you add me?

I have to say I am so excited but really nervous because I am still very early.

Just realised this is my very first post in “first trimester” still can’t believe I am here!

xx

Congrats!!
I'm a trespasser on this thread but hope you guys dont mind me stalking haha xx

Hey ladies,
Would you mind if I joined you?
I’m Rowe and just found out no4 is on its way and due around 18th August!
M many congratulations to you all xx

COngratulations Rowe! Omg I am worrying about no 2 and your having no4! You must be a super Mum! Any tips!? For 2 under 2? Xxx

Thank you Mexico! Erm.... patients and routine! Lol! I admit this ones a surprise! Was on the pill, Gp changed it and said I’d be ok just carrying on with new ones, clearly wasn’t though! My 3 are 5, 3 and nearly 2! Suffer with endometriosis and lost an ovary before falling with my eldest, so feel incredibly lucky xxx

Oh geez yours are close together too!! Yeah don’t have a lot of patience!! Think I am going to have to learn! We have found it difficult adapting to having a child (just turned 1) and we had planned number 2 as we wanted them close in age but know it’s goinf to be so hard!!! Awww bless you! That must of been a shock! However you sound like a super Mum who will cope no matter what!! If I’m having a meltdown I know who to come to!!! Haha xx

Massive congratulations KMG and Rowe!!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas? Santa brought me vomiting to go with my constant nausea, so kind of him!

Following my midwife appointment I’ve now been referred for a consultant appointment on the same day as my scan (25th jan) It’s due to my weight and family history of spina bifida. Anyone had any experience of consultant appointments in previous pregnancies? I’ve no idea what to expect?? Xx

Awww Niv you poor thing! Mine seems to be easing off but still feel sick everyday!

I had to go to consultant appointments with my first because I was measuring small and had to have scans every other week. I would look at it positively as you get to see baby more and your being monitored more to check things are ok. It just means you have more appointments! Don’t let it worry you though!! Xx

Thanks Mexico that’s really reassuring, I guess I never thought of it that way and you’re right that actually I do now feel better knowing I’ll be monitored more. I’m glad that your vomiting is finally easing off xx

Yeah I was worried at the start that I just thought about it differently! I was induced in the end following my appointments as they said the babies growth had tailed off! That was the day before my due date I was induced! That’s what I mean by it’s reassuring as they are reviewing you and baby all the time.

In respect of sickness I think I spoke too soon! We have just had an Indian and I don’t think it’s going to stay down!! arghh I am already urging!!! Xxx

Yep, Santa kindly brought me the vomiting too - how nice of him eh!?

My GP says I will be under a consultant due to my BP and weight. Only saw one last time after my GTT so not too sure what to expect this time around xx

The nausea is awful, the only things I found that helped are ginger nut biscuits and tonic water.

Hope the nausea and sickness passes soon for you all xx

Hi everyone, so found out i’m expecting and with an online calculator due 18th August. Called midwife service and referred myself and have appointment booked for 16th January and they said after that I’ll be referred to hospital for dating scan. So excited, it will be my first so super nervous too. Morning sickness has definitely kicked in for me although I find it’s at its worst when I’m going to bed. Also found my skin is super itchy all over. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Can’t wait to share this journey with you all :)

Massive congratulations! It’s natural to be nervous but this thread really helps for sharing experiences, getting advice and general ranting! Xx

I literally have been munching on ginger nuts every time I feel a bit queezy and it has been helping! And every night I have tonic water with lemon slices in (I imagine there's Gin ) so far keeping the sickness at bay!

Hey beetlebabe looks like we’re due the same day! Congratulations hun x

Aw PurdieCat that’s really cool, hope all goes well and look forward to seeing pictures!

I’ve always been a vivid dreamer since a child so it’s all completely normal for me, but I think it’s really common in pregnancy. I think it’s really interesting how it can impact on your dreams like that xx
