***August 2016 Mummies***

Thanks both.
Clare, I'm sorry for your losses.
I guess what will be, will be. A scan now isn't going to stop the 'what ifs' until the next scan.
12 weeks seems so far away! at least I'm at the half way point x

It does seem a long way off but I said to my husband tonight that it's 3 weeks now since BFP so the time is actually passing a bit!
I feel sick and never had tiredness like this!

I'm not really optimistic at the moment, but I am glad I had a scan this morning. I've seen a heartbeat and I'm so scared there will be nothing left to see at 12 weeks, BUT there is someone in there now and at least I got to see him/her once. You really have to do what you think best for yourself. It can be nice to have an early scan, but it can make you feel worse. You probably won't stop worrying either way. That's just what parents do, so actually you're doing fine :-)

I definitely want an early scan.

I don't think I'll relax properly until after my 12 week scan. But, I had a mmc at around 5-6 weeks last time but didn't miscarry until 10+1. I'm hoping to get referred for a scan when I'm between 7-8 weeks. I think I'll feel more reassured knowing I got past the point where I lost baby last time and it breaks up the wait until my 12 week scan.

I'm feeling so sick today. We were shopping in Morrisons today and I was properly wretching. It's worse when I'm hungry but the thought of eating most things makes me feel even more sick! I never got any major nausea when I was pregnant with Cam (only felt a bit sicky when hungry) so this is all new to me. I'm hoping that this nausea is a good sign that all is well in there though.

XX

I didn't have an early scan with DD and I won't be this time, I don't feel anxious or anything, I just know what will be will be at the 12 week scan so I am holding out until then, also there's way more to see at the 12 week scan!

Well, I think "morning" sickness is now a part of my pregnancy, sick twice last night and twice this morning.
I have been gagging all day but I was in town so I just couldn't be sick in front of all those people!
So I am waiting to have a little bit of dinner now, to hopefully tide me over to bed time.

It sets in when I am even the slightest bit hungry! Frustrating thing is I don't fancy anything in particular, just orange juice and cereal, yesterday I craved toast a bit lol.

I have gone right off mince beef and OH has planned a spag bol tonight so I am going to have to try and eat it!

Anyone else being sick? xx

Wifey hasn't been sick, nor was she with last pregnancy. She has nausea but no actual sick. She craved mushy peas and orange juice last time and this time its mushy peas and milk!

She's currently around 5+2 - although the CP she had in November may not have been as her 'period' was nothing like she was used to, and it came on cd23 when she normally has a 26 day cycle. Do you recon they will scan her as soon as the next appointment is available to determine this? Or just wait until they believe she is around 12 weeks based on the current cycle? We believe she had a CP because she got a BFP at 10dpo then BFN for 3 days afterwards then we stopped testing and she got her 'period' on 28th.

So recap, first day of period was 3rd November, usual 5 days. We dtd pretty much every other night, got a BFP on 23/24th November then BFN 25/26/27th then 'period' 28th. We then used that as her next cycle so we dtd as usual and got a BFP on 21st December which would have been 9dpo and have had BFP since, line was strong on all tests regardless of what time of the day we did it. Any ideas?

Hello Michael!

If there is date confusion normally I am sure you will be offered an early scan to determine this, it isn't something I have any experience with but I think that is how they work it! Just explain that when you see your GP or whoever you will see next.

Haha mushy peas and milk what interesting cravings!

Sorry, what's confusion with dates? They will go from date of lmp, the chemical won't be taken into it. It doesn't matter if you tell them you know you didn't ovulate until later for example, they scan at 12 weeks from lmp.

I think the issue is we're not sure if her lmp was the 28th or 3rd November. The 28th November was only two days and wasn't like usual so could have been anything.

My cravings have kicked in- lots of fruit and jam on toast and croissants. Hate jam normally lol x

Did you use a digital at all this time? If lmp had been 3rd November you'd have got a 3+ immediately testing on 21st December and the test lines on normal tests would be way way darker than the control.

Fp I can't get enough of fruit either at the min. Causing havoc with my belly tho, lots of wind!

Also quite sick. I'm taking ginger tablets (only in the morning cause I have to sit on a train for an hour and don't want to get sick there) and at the moment they still help a bit. I could eat cheese all day and sometimes I suddenly crave olives. Never liked olives very much before... I also force myself to eat small portions of fruit and vegetables.

I think you could ask for an extra scan if you're unsure about the dating.

Hi everyone, I am new to PF, just joined today, and I found out on Boxing Day that we are expecting our first baby! Unplanned but not unwanted. Just looking to speak to other people in similar situations and get a feel for what's to come!
I am due in August but have not had exact date yet but doc reckons about 7 weeks in.

Congratulations to everyone by the way!

Hello and welcome!! Yes this is the forum to be on if you wanna chat pregnancy and all sorts! Been on here for years on and off so it's definitely a good place to get advice and make friends.

Lol I also crave toast with jam and never ever eat jam! So god knows what that is all about! Bodies do weird things. I am also eating about half of what I used to which is bloody brilliant! I just get around half way through a meal and really feel like if I take another bite I will just throw my guts up. So there are perks haha xx

Congratulations and welcome EP!

Chicken is really turning my stomach at mo. Currently wearing a sports bra to bed which is helping with boob stabs. Omg had fanny daggers for the 1st time ever yesterday! X

DH said the pic in my ticker looks like the baby has a condom floating around with it lol! I guess it does a bit though. I told him to stop looking over my shoulder when I'm on PF in case I want to moan about him! X
