Dr hasnt specifically said i should have it but hasnt said no when i suggested it either?

Should i take it? Currently 6.5 weeks?

What are the worst things that can happen from taking it?
And good?

Hi, I’d maybe check before taking any medication. I’ve had 2 previous MCs and when I went to EPU the midwife said for me to take the 75mg aspirin and extra 5mg folic acid. The extra folic was only for the first 12 weeks though. She said she thinks all pregnant women should take aspirin to help blood circulation not just those who have had previous MCs. I’d still want to get medical advice before taking it though x

Do u know if it should be taken with food or not? Thanks :)

I’ve not read up on it at all tbh but just taken it on the midwife’s advice. I usually take it with food when I’m having my pregnacare in a morning. I can’t stomach dissolving it in water and drinking it so I just take it like a normal tablet as I’m sure it’ll dissolve just fine with my drink and food haha

A friend of mine who is 25 weeks along has to take aspirin because the baby was a bit on the small side. The blood gets thinner with aspirin and so the nutrients flow better through the umbilical cord, this was the explanation she got from the gynaecologist. I don't take it though, but maybe you could ask your midwife or GP before starting it.x
