The doc has suggested I take aspirin 3 days before and after I fly. I feel really sick and the packet says that possible side effects can be sickness so I'm scared to take it as I already feel so bad. Anyone any ideas or views on this?

Side effects are probably rare. Do you normally get side effects with medication in general?
I took anti sikness tablets once and gagged them straight up - I am prone to getting side effects on everything!
If you're normally ok with medication then I would follow your docs advice.

I took one aspirin everyday of my pregnancy up unitl 34 weeks as had fertility treatment and was advised to by consultant. I felt fine.

Asprin is excellent when flying as it helps thin the blood and obviously stops possible DVT or similar. I used to do a lot of long haul flights with my job, and was advised to always take asprin, however I obviously have some allergy to it, as it makes me severely sneeze (similar to severe hayfever).......

If your body doesnt mind it then take it, otherwise user other methods - for example Im off to buy some flight socks before I fly off for my holiday in 3 weeks!!

I have been prescribed asprin as well by my consultant and so have been taking 150mg daily for the past 5 weeks. all I can say is that I feel pretty rotten, but I think that is just pregnancy stuff. Don't think it would make you feel worse. x
