Argh!!!

Where do I start....
I have the mother in-law from hell. Whenever i see this woman she never has anything nice to say to me .But my partner thinks im just being miserable.

She don’t even say hello, the first thing she does is comment on my weight, it is bad enough I have to put up with it from her son let alone her too.

My partner keeps complaining i never make an effort to see his side of the family ...well every time I go around them its always negativity .

I'm a person who prefers her own space....this is my first pregnancy and its all new to me ....I hate the fact my lil one is not even here and his side of the family (well him n his mum) are already telling me what sort of mother I am going to be .

I just needed to blow of some steam.

My mum is a nightmare. From the second I got og (we have had a lot of previous issues). And to spare u the details my advice is nip it in the bud.....niw......iv consequently now not spoken to my mum for almost 6 months......xx

Trust me I have limited the amount of time i spend with her ....but my OH keeps complaining that i dont spend enough time with his family .

its either i keep my distance or i tell her how i really feel.I just wna enjoy my time now b4 my lil one comes and I have 2 c her more .

I can totally relate to you. My in laws are a nightmare so much so we haven't spoken to them in 2 years. OH father would constantly tell me I was fat and needed a diet. Yes I was a size 16 so not tiny but I don't think I was huge. They complained about the house every time they came over ( which wasn't very often) so much so I have developed OCD and cannot bear anything out of place. I was told I was only with my OH for his money. what money he was skint. As for your OH making comments about your weight he needs to remember that you are carrying his child x

even b4 I became pregnant OH would comment on my weight ,in the time I have been with him ive gone up and down with my weight.

it would be so peaceful if i didn't speak to my oh mother .

I would expect your OH to be on your side and support you, ultimately if they make ou feel like crap dont bother going.

Lifes to short to tolerate horrible people. If you cant lay down some rules when you are pregnant when can you.
Its time to be firm. If your OH is horrible then tell him, if he wont support you over his parents then tell him and if his answers are horrible then why are you with him.

My MIL is bad, but not as bad as yours! Although my OH has learnt the hard way - do not make comments about my weight. He did once, I slapped him across the face, called him a c**t (which I NEVER say!) and burst into tears. He got so much of a fright at my reaction that he has been the perfect gent ever since!

His father on the other hand... he asked if I was having a litter the other day. I looked him up and down and asked him if he needed a full length mirror in his house. As you can tell, my hormones are all over the place.

But in general, I find attack is the best form of defence!!

These made me roar! I know I shouldn't! I will remember that if my DH makes a comment again!

I have found that you can be saying the nicest things but if said with venom, can be quite a scary sight! Rule through fear I say!!
