**** APRIL MUMMIES 2016!!!**** Almost there!****

Lovely looking bumps.. how are you all measuring? At 32+3 midwife wrote down 33cm... thats 5cm bigger than last appt at 28+3 when it was 28cm. Wonder if baby is on the big side? X

Means nothing don't worry, my midwife measured me at 32 cm at 28 weeks and sent me for a growth scan cause I was so big... But she told me not to worry as it isn't an exact science and they don't always do it right.

Baby was measuring perfectly normal

I was measuring 29cm at 28+3 so bang on phew!! Thinking now about a water birth at hospital.....just really appeals to me!!

Thanks for perking me up ladies!! Me and hubby are both very busy doing DIY so think that's just taking its toll! But feel a bit brighter today! I see light at the end of the tunnel!

Bumps are looking lovely! Just waiting for my 31w midwife app - wonder how big I'm measuring I feel huge!

A massage sounds like bliss, hint dropping will commence tonight! Xx

Someone tell me why I have such an awful craving for a Chicken burger with big mac sauce and a banana milkshake :( But the husband is working so I can't go get any :(

been to a really lovely parent to be event tonight ladies at mama's and papa's. they'll be holding more so make sure you look out for one near you. there were talks from staff about car seats and demonstrations, a lady from Red Cross with a really useful baby first aid and a midwife there for you to speak to about anything you like.
Oh and there were free drinks and cakes! not forgetting a lovely goody bag with gift card, a little vest and bib.
I'd definitely recommend going.
It's thrown a spanner in the works however as for such a long time I've been fixed on the pushchair I'm getting, but tonight I've fallen in love with another!
Apart from my aches, pains and sleepiness, it really brightened my mood. have a look out for it Xx

That sounds really awesome Blueberry :) I'll definitely have a look. what pushchair are you looking at now? We're considering the Hauck shop n go, since we live close to everything so we usually walk everywhere. As for baby first aid: I was under the impression you'd get some help with that on the parental classes. Call me weird but as soon as I found out I was pregnant I went and bought a first aid kit. I'm the clumsiest person in the universe and I want to make sure I always have everything on hand.

ha futurejedi, clumsiest person in the universe..no no that's definitely me! :) first aid kit is a good idea. this session was more about things like choking, burns and fever, which I don't think they cover in the classes at the hospital? it was really good though, as I've trained in nursing it was something I'd done before but was a useful refresher. maybe they do video's online?
well I'm well and truly fixed on getting the Venicci in denim blue for little man, then tonight I've seen the armadillo flip, the Donna Wilson design. both really lovely. I've not heard of the Hauck one? Have you thought about a carrier too? a sling type thing on your body to carry baby? I've considered getting one for shorter walks.
All these decisions eh! xx

That's one of the first things I got for baby, one of the babybjörn type ones... My mum had it with my siblings and it was pretty much the only way she got my dad to walk around with the babies :P But I keep having visions of my husband using it so he can play xbox while caring for the baby :D

haha wouldn't surprise me at all if my partner had thought of that idea too! I'd like to get one anyway, was yours expensive if you don't mind me asking, I don't want to pay crazy amount but would like a decent one :) x

Kk sounds normal to me, I was 28cm at 28weeks and 31 at 31 so pretty similar to you. Or we could both be cooking whoppers I suppose ;-) Got next appointment Thursday -34 weeks so will let you know after that.

Finished our nct classes now and 2 of the 8 babies have already been born - both 4 weeks early! Scary stuff, need to get on and pack that hospital bag! Xx

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend x

Thanks girls... my next midwife appt isnt while 38wks now... might have had the baby by then eek! But I do have GP antenatal at 34w then Consultant and growth scan at 36w which is the important one :)

I'd like a carrier or sling also but as you say they are not cheap so may wait to buy with any baby money we get given when baby is here ;) xx

My friend has brought me a ring sling as a present for baby - very excited about using it!

Has anyone started having labour/ baby dreams yet?
I saw my friend yesterday and her new baby and she told me how all her labour went. Last night I dreamt everything that happened to her was happening to me. But I never got the baby funny enough!
I'm so ready for it all now! Those of us due on 1St April could have babies in 4 weeks that will be considered at TERM! Im sort of hoping my little lady is an easter bunny! Xx

No, I bought it second hand so it was about £10. It was a bargain too cause it was used maybe twice.

oh that's great, where did you find it, online?
Just seen your in Manchester, I am too :) haha Xx

That shpock app... it was being sold by someone who was an April mummy last year xD 2 streets away from me :D I also found a moses basket + stand for £10 in a charity shop, just need to replace the bedding.

I'm around Greater manchester but it's nice to know there's other mums close by :) I know like 2-3 people in England.. I have poor social skills and haven't been living here long

Ah that's really good, I'll have to have a look on there.

I'm in greater Manchester too :) it is yeah, nice to know other mums around. what hospital will you be going to?
