April jones

Being from South west wales myself - I know that we are very rural and life s considered "safe" by most. regardlwess of decisions made by Aprils mum - the relaity of it is that our children should be able to play outside at 10pm without fear of this. The parents in this case will regret her being out for the rest of their lives - but the monster who took her is to blame for this not them. Yes I agree that7pm aged 5 is quite late (my 5 yr old just insnt allowed out by herself) but it is very much the "norm" in some places x

Apparantly it's a murder investigation now but they still haven't found her! He must have confessed and isn't saying where the body is

That's horrible :( x don't think he's confessed though, if he had they could have charged him, but its still saying they haven't done that yet x

There must be other evidence x

I wonder what they've found. They have to be certain don't they if they've told the public :(

Ive been holding my lo tighter since this story broke, the pain must be unimaginable. Imagine your lo crying out for you and you can't get to her..... Utterly heartbreaking x

Once upon a time it was safe, why didnt her parents teach her the lessons of getting into strsnge cars, and i have to say a 5yr old out at 7.30pm (because it is now dark at that time) come on...the world isnt what it used to be, mine would be in the back garden playing with my door open so i could see them.

All well and good teaching your child about a strangers car but what can you say about someone they know ? :( the world is a horrible place but her poor parents must be feeling awful right now , it a as sad day when you can't feel safe letting your children out to play

I do feel for her parents, i really do and i hope the find her alive, hes now been arrested on her murder, however parents really do need to keep children at close eyes these days, most children that have gone missing have known their attacker, or parents have tuck a risk, the madaline case for example, i used to work in a maternity hospital and you wouldnt believe how many women would let staff on a night shift take the baby out of the room to stop the baby crying so they can get sleep. x

I agree with TT. I think her parents know they have made the biggest mistake of their lives but personally all I feel for her family is sympathy not judgement or blame because what they must be going through is heartbreaking :(

Im not judging no one, all we can do is parents to be is learn from mistakes. I just hope this doesnt turn out a bad ending. X

The guy they had in custody has been arrested for murder :'(

He's been arrested on suspicion of murder. The police have until sometime tomorrow to charge or release him.
I feel sick for that poor girl and her family.

That's what I thought yes . I hope they can still have a positive outcome , or at least some kind of closure

So awful makes you never want to let your kids out of eye sight x

That poor girl , I feel so sorry for her parents . What they are going through I would not wish on my worst enemy . I just hope they find her body soon and hopefully it will give her family some comfort being able to lay her to rest and say goodbye properly cos I think they would feel a whole lot worst if her body was not found - does that make sense xxx

I said the same thing to a friend earlier. The parents need to be able to say goodbye to their little girl. Those poor poor people. x
