watching the 10 pm news last night and its unreal the amount of people they have looking for her body. they saifd they have found forensic evidence and witnesses saw the suspect walking up a mountain with a big black sack the day after she was taken. if they wernt 100% sure she was dead i doubt they would have anounced it publicly. bring back the death penelty is what i say!!!

If he's guilty I hope he rots in jail. I also wish he would disclose where April is so her family can grieve properly for this poor little girl.

Poor poor family, just devastating for them. I hope they find her body so they can get closure and lay her to rest

Unfortunately, most child abductions and child abuse is carried out by someone known to the child. So she could have been taken at 2pm in the afternoon. If it was the man arrested that did it, then I think the time she was out playing is irrelevant.

Just heard on the news that HIS CHILDREN, yes that's right, HE HAD CHILDREN who went to the same school as April. So he probably knew April and she may have recognised him which is why she got into his car.

At 7pm it's getting dark or is dark and personally I wouldn't allow my 5 year old out to play when it was dark whether I lived in a rural area or not.

Agreed. I don't even let my cats out in the area I live now as the roads etc are dangerous! I know we should be able to trust our neighbourhoods and it is a huge shame this is the way it is but better safe than sorry. I know it's not right to judge the family either but the first thing I did think when I heard the story was why was she allowed out at 7pm with no adults when she's only 5.

Once upon a time it was safe, why didnt her parents teach her the lessons of getting into strsnge cars, and i have to say a 5yr old out at 7.30pm (because it is now dark at that time) come on...the world isnt what it used to be, mine would be in the back garden playing with my door open so i could see them.

Same. I will not be letting my kids out to play unless I am there to watch them, it's just not worth the risks, even if this family had never let her stay out that late before it only takes one time. So sad.

It sickens me that he won't tell anything, it's like he is still controlling the situation. Disgusting.
