**** April 2019 mummies ****

Feeling worried, experienced an afternoon with less symptoms today, boobs are achy but less so, back achy but less so, less bloated than I have been, still yawning well though. Hoping it's just a sign of things levelling out for a bit and not something else. I had odd days with my first where symptoms seemed to disappear and then they returned but can't help but worry, i've not experienced it so far with this pregnancy. I so want my bloated belly back! No cramping pain or bleeding, so that's a good sign

It’s probably just things levelling out, I’ve heard hcg production starts slowing down once it hits a certain point, and symptoms can come and go anyway, I bet theres nothing to worry about pink, this first trimester is awful for worrying though isn’t it x

That's exactly what i'm hoping it is, I can't wait to get through this first trimester, I haven't even had my booking in appointment yet! I had to self-refer online once I was 5 weeks, they then take up to 2 weeks to write to you with an appointment!

It’s mad how they do things so differently in different places, When I got my bfp I phoned the doctors expecting them to tell me to come in and take a test but they just gave me the number for the women’s hospital appointment line, phoned them and they got me an appointment for a weeks time, which makes sense as surely they want to be checking your taking folic acid and not drinking and stuff, or that your getting help to quit smoking etc if you need it, not everyone knows this stuff especially really young people or people who didn’t plan it!

I can’t wait to get out of the first trimester either, it’s going to go so slow! We will get there x

Had an appoinment with the midwives assistant this morning- never knew there was such a thing as didnt have this before!
Took bloods etc. She was concerned about my blood pressure being so low. She said theres nothing really she can give me but just adviced me to rest. I politely reminded her i have a toddler! Haha no such thing as rest in this house hold.
As i had gestational diabetes before i may likely have it again so will have to have the awful gestational testing at some point! - great!

Hows everyone doing? X

Morning ladies and hi to all the new mummies!
I am officially 5 weeks today. Had my eldest 9th birthday yesterday so was exhausted last night. Took him out to spend his pennies this morning and couldn't resist popping into Superdrug and I bought another digi. I have got 3+ this morning. I am so pleased I have been so anxious after the horrendous pain last week and spotting. Got a scan in the morning they are just wanting to check everything in the right place as I have had an ectopic before. I only have my right fallopian tube. Other than that no symptoms just tiredness xxx

I didn’t know there was any such thing as a midwife assistant either! That seems odd, maybe it’s a way for the nhs to save money or something ha

5+2 today, definitely getting nausea on and off now, it’s not strong nausea but it’s noticeable and I’ve had a few more of these weird sick-up things where I’ll hiccup and with no warning at all and no nausea a load of sick comes up! So weird.

I need to do better with my eating now though, I just ate a load of junk yesterday and the day before because I couldn’t be bothered cooking and told myself it was ok as I’ve been taking pregnacare since December!

Feel like I’m just waiting for each day to pass as every day feels like a step closer towards being out of the danger zone

Aah that’s briilliant mummymoreton, it does feel reassuring to get the 3+ on time, your hcg is definitely going up, I had a little google and found a clearblue info leaflet which says 3+ is hcg of 2700 or above
Good luck for tomorrow, I see you are on the Wirral, I’m in Liverpool!

Ah exciting! But a pain about bp and the diabetes test. I had to have it last time but thankfully didn’t get gd.

Fx for you mummymoreton that everything is in the right place.

I think I’m feeling a little better today, but I’m waiting for it to come back with a vengeance.

Pregnacare since December sounds like an expensive habit!!
I’m being so much more careful this time around, with my first I gained about 4 stone. It was ridiculous, I’m adamant I won’t do it again as I worked so hard to lose it a couple of years ago.
It helps that I don’t have a massive appetite at the moment, a few mouthfuls and I’m full, and not fancying sweet stuff as much as normal. I’ve not gained any weight yet so fingers crossed this symptom doesn’t disappear!!

Yeah I’m switching to Asda’s own brand after I finish this pack niknaknoo, it’s exactly the same stuff in it! Oh I’m determined not to pile loads of weight on either!

I did buy pregnacare this time as compared it to the Tesco one and it was a bit better. But it was on 3 for 2 so got enough to last me the whole pregnancy!

Just to mention I took a digi on Sunday and it was 2-3 Xx

I had same this morning. Took one last Tuesday and it said 1-2, this week saying 2-3. Have contacted midwife for appointment but not heard back yet. I'm 5+5 according to my lmp

I'm determined to stay healthy with regards to food too as I get married 4 months after giving birth!! I already have my dress so will need to wait as long as possible before having dress fitting! Hopefully won't need a C-section either so I dont have to wait that dreaded 6 weeks before I get the okay to start doing things, I'll need to start exercising again after a couple of weeks!! Anyone got any tips for loosing the weight quickly? I've heard breast feeding helps

My symptoms seem to have disappeared. Boobs no longer sore and no sickness so far. All I have is extreme tiredness, lunchtime hits and I just need a nap lol I’m somewhere between 6 - 8 weeks. But not too concerned.

Laura I had GD first time around and second time nothing so fingers crossed all is ok for you too. Already I’m trying to cut back on sugars and carbs and have started following SW loosely again as I need to shift some pounds.

Laura i hope im as lucky as you!
Was your bmi different the second time? My bmi was 30 last time but is now 27ish. So hoping that may make a difference as i weigh less now than i did before my first x

I was referred for GD test last time, I thought because it runs in the family and my mom had it with me but the nurse doing my bloods said it was due to my weight. Yea, thanks for that!! I put on 2 stone last time and have lost a stone so I’m heavier this time round so am assuming I’ll be sent again. I hate BMI, my boobs account for a good proportion of my weight lol! My BMI says I’m obese - while I’m not slim I don’t consider myself near obese !

Both times my bmi was about 35 and it’s a bit higher this time :( first time it really was border line too, I was able to control it with diet alone. Both my boys have been small too 5,14 and 6,7. Which is why I always still look fat and not pregnant by 38 weeks lol

I am hoping to lower my weight slightly which I’m pretty sure my MW will support especially as I’m
Doing it by eating healthier. In an ideal world I would have lost more before getting pregnant but really didn’t expect it to happen. Lol

Breastfeeding didn’t help me, but mostly my weight gain was because I ate what I liked without thinking about it, I actually put more on when breastfeeding!
Lost the weight eventually through slimming world so will be loosely following it throughout this time.

My GD was diet controlled too luckily, but i ended up giving birth naturally to a10lb 4oz baby! I was meant to be induced at 38weeks but hada scan and they said he wasnt going to be too big! They mustve been having a laugh!
Fx this time i will have a smaller baby!
Im trying to eat healthy too. But ive just sent hubby out toget me cheesy chips lol! Ooooops

Anyone still getting AF type pains/cramps/niggles? Ive been getting some sharp pains very low down - I mean literally around my cervix, I get them when I’m pregnant and when I’m not pregnant, I get them up the bum aswel! Sorry for the crudeness there I’m not sure there is a polite way of describing that! it’s so strange, I might mention it to the midwife on Monday
