Hi all!

I'm 5+3 I think due on 17th April with my second child! I found this forum a great help during my first pregnancy especially at this stage when you want to shout it out to the world!! We have told both mums & I have told a couple of close friends.
Feeling fine at the moment but I'm anticipating horrible nausea & sickness like last time!!
My biggest dilemma is work-I'm a firefighter so I have to decide when I tell them as really I shouldn't be riding the fire engine now I know I'm pregnant but on the other hand I don't want everyone to know yet! My colleagues know we were trying for a baby so they will guess the minute I'm put in the office!

Katy Congrats! Very tough decision though, what are the risks of being on the fire engine whilest being so early on in a pregnancy?

Thanks everyone. Has been a hell of a week. Just glad my little peanut is ok in there, and get to see him/her again on the 31st. So fingers crossed all keeps going well.

Congrats Katy. I have had to tell my work today due to being told to take a few days off by the midwife. I think you need to do what's best for you and your baby safety wise. I know its hard not wanting anyone to know, my family don't even know haha and my mum works for the same company so I have had to be very careful haha xx

had a private scan on Wednesday measured at 7 weeks 1 days EDD 4th April

Wishing everyone a happy healthy 9 months, looking forward to reading about everyone's journeys!

What did u c on scan? I'm having 1 tomorrow I'll be about 7 weeks 2 days, could u post a pic on here maybe or on April's fb page?

Hello , I'm 6 weeks today pregnant with my second child , I was pregnant 10 years ago so it's a whole new experience for me again! I'm feeling sick and being sick in the morning and I lack sooooo much energy it's unreal! I'm usually energetic , get up and go, but the past few days I have been so tired and exhausted. Does any one know how long this will last , I'm usually pretty happy but I just feel drained. I have a 6am start in work and I am sick right up until 12ish. I also have. Severer pain in my left side, now and again ? Is this due to to constipation? Or is somthing else happening ? I haven't had no spotting, I'm not due to see a midwife till next week.... Any advice would b much appreciated

Oh congratulations as well sorry misses that!
Did u have to have an internal scan or able via tummy, I've been told probably need internal as so early

The sonographer tried doing it on my tummy but couldn't see anything so we had to do an internal, you maybe ok and see something, is this your first scan? Xx

Chantelle_17 - I've had some disconcerting twinges and after a lot of writing at work, pain in my shoulder. Trying to stay away from Dr Google! Round ligament pain is often why there are aches and pains as your uterus grows but severe pain, is something to get checked out. How have you been?
