April 2017 babys

Congrats baby1201!
Angel hope everything is ok..
Sorry ladies, have been very busy lately hope to be back soon xx

Hello everyone ... How are we all feeling? These weeks draaaaging for anyone else? Lol.
I'm going to book a private scan and thinking I might try and hold out until 10 weeks pregnant (about 5 long weeks away). How about everyone else who's booking private scan?

I'm just waiting for the regular NHS scan only five weeks left so it won't be to far I hope xx

That's not too long DarcyHodge .... I'm so impatient lol maybe I'll wait and see how I feel at 9 weeks xx

For anyone new we have a secret group on Facebook if you add me Gayle Lorraine Hodge I will add you to the group, dont worry its completely secret so only members can see the posts x

I've just added you on FB, thanks for organising X

Morning ladies.

How are we all doing today?

19 days until my scan. Eek!!

Xx

The week after we are going on holiday and will be able to tell my OH's 93y/o grandad that we're expecting!! He is always asking me why I'm not pregnant yet

Aww that's so sweet, I can't wait to tell my father in law I think he will cry his eyes out lol, I think my mum will just say, I know, lol like she's some sorta mystic meg :)

Hi ladies, I've decided to be brave and join you all. I'm only just over 4 weeks, got my bfp on Saturday. First ever pregnancy at the age of 44, I'm both ecstatic and terrified of all the things that could go wrong! EDD 22 April but as I had a large fibroid removed 2 months ago I've been told I'll have to have a c-section so guess it'll be slightly earlier than the 22nd.

Oh, and I have absolutely no symptoms other than very slightly sore boobs if I press them and going to toilet more often through the night.

That's good to know, I'm very happy not to have any sickness - completely phobic about vomit - but counting down the days until I can get a scan.

Syd I'm glad you joined us :) exciting times ahead.. Even though the first trimester has certain downers.. Like morning sickness :p

I\ve not really had this though, just the feeling of not being hungry and that feeling gets to a point where if I try and eat something I go very queasy. The "I'm-so-not-hungry-its-going-to-make-me-sick" feeling. Luckily for me (and good for the baby) fruit seems to be fine all times of day though :)
Other than that just the normal sore&heavy feeling boobs and exhaustion for me

Darcy when do you plan on telling your parents?

I couldnt wait and told my twin, them & the inlaws first, now slowly spreading the news face to face to our friends with a side note not to discuss it in public / to others as it's very early on and we want to tell people ourselves.

How exciting! I'm desperate to tell people but definitely won't until after the 12 week scan. Have had to tell one work colleague though as I'm supposed to be going on a work trip to a very high altitude next week and I'm waiting for the doctor to tell me if that's ok or not.

Congratulations syd :) that's great news.
I keep changing my mind one min I'm like let's tell them toningt them I'm like no let's wait for a scan lol, I've told two of my friends one who is pregnant so with twins and the other did the sneaking about buying digitalis for me incase I met someone I knew lol, my brother in law also knows x

I'm really pee'd that I had to tell my in-laws at the weekend which meant I had to also tell my immediate family too. It would have been nice to have some special time when it was just us that knew about it.

The in laws were trying to get us to go on holiday in early October for my MIL 60th birthday and we made our excuses saying we couldn't afford it (we really can't as we are buying a house) and then they said they'd give us £1k towards it so had to use the trump card as I really don't want to do a flight before 15 weeks or spend a holiday running after a toddler while feeling shit!

Had loads of questions about my plans for birth and what I'll be doing work wise as I'm on a fixed term contract that ends in December. Grr , we aren't even past the first 13 weeks!!

Congratulations syd43.

Well we have told family but that's it until nhs 12-13 week scan.

Has anyone got a date for booking appointment for midwife yet?

Think I'm going to book in private scan for 9 weeks .... About 3 weeks time xxx
