I just googled favourability for sweeps and found lots of different info. I found a different forum where girls were talking about putting their fingers inside and actually feeling the cervix themselves and saying that if they can fit a fingertip into it then it's already dilated and if it's soft and spongy with something hard in the middle then it's the babys head!

All sounds a bit weird to me but just wondering what you girls think? xxx

thats interesting i suppose if you are quite dilated then it would be easier to feel than if it was high up out the way, i couldnt of thought having a gentle feel would do any harm after all it would get poked while DTD lol xxxx

Hmm im a bit scared too but then i also agree with Suzzi about it being poked when you DTD. And they say it's fine to use sex toys aswell don't they so surely gently putting your fingers up wouldn't do any harm. Although for some reason it still makes me feel uneasy at the thought of doing it!lol. xxx

I have felt it whilst trying to work out ovulation so I know where it would be I'm a bit dubious about it as the hospital staff were so relucant to give internals the last time I was in for fear of infection. Having said that though, if that was the case I guess that sex and toy times would be a no no as well x

Well (sorry this is just going to be tmi overload girls) it's like a little nub kind of thing, I'm not sure how it is supposed to feel when you are pregnant, but when you are not in the fertile stage of your cycle it feels like the tip of your nose and if you're fertile then it feels like the inside of your lip.

I used to do this as well when ttc but havent tried it since.

as you say, sex is fine so if ur comfortable doing it then I dont see why not.
