Anyone no much about hook effect?

As title says anyone no much about it and can stop me from losing my marbles?!!

So I've had a MC started spotting over a weak ago on Sunday passed what I think was defo the sac, anyways I've been testing each morning to watch my tests go back to negative, anyway that hasn't Happened until this morning it was much lighter... So from my last pregnancy I remember testing at around 7 weeks and read up on hook effect which is when hormones get that high your tests struggle to read so give a lighter result, you have to water your pee down and then it picks it up and makes line go stronger ...

So I would be around 7 weeks Saturday so I thought I would just test this theory, so I did I've attached some pictures the first one is no waterd down pee, the second is 50 pee 50 water and the third test which is the darkest is 20 per 50 water...

So now I'm totally confused Surley if my hormones were dropping my tests would be even lighter once I waterd down the pee but there not there stronger?

I have a scan in morning but I'm hundred percent sure I passed the sac, so now my head is totally battered can anyone shed any light to keep me going?!! Thanks

Could you possibly have been pregnant with twins and passed the other one?

It does look like hook effect to me.

Here are mine:




First from the top done with concentrated urine
2nd done with 50% urine + 50% water
3rd done with about 10% urine + about 90% water

I have no clue but your the 4th person to say that to me now which is so weird, I guess only the scan tomoz will tell but I don't really feel pregnant! But I'm hundred percent positive that is the hook effect I'm seeing x

I wouldn't lose hope, it really does look like hook effect

So many people have said twins, I just did a digi which came back at 3+ I don't think I'd be getting that if I'd MC, I duno I don't want to get my hopes up either, my head is totally battered tomoz can't come quick enough x

Definitely seems odd that your hcg is still so high if you had MC unless it all hasn't come away perhaps or as others have mentioned could be twins. What makes you think you MC? Just the bleeding? Definitely see what scan says tomorrow but don't give up hope. Will keep my fingers crossed for you that all goes okay x

Hey thought I'd have a read. I would of thought if it was a miscarriage it would be negative by now. Maybe it wasn't a sac maybe it was something from your first miscarriage last month like a clot that had been hiding up there. Was it just spotting or was it big bright red clot flow? Cos a lot of ladies have bleeding first trimester could be that. Xxx

Hi Sarah my last MC before this one was over 2 years ago I had a dd Inbetween, yeah it was the sac that makes me think I've MC I'm sure it was a sac, I had spotting every other day then on Sunday passed what I thought was sac then went back to brown discharged then on Monday I had bright red blood once when I wiped and now it's clear discharge with brown bits in if that makes sense, I sure am confused I'd of thought my levels would of dropped now x

Usually when you have a mc you bleed for a week-ish like a period. So if it was one bleed then stopped, that's a good sign!
I lost a huge blood clot and had a gush of blood at 12 weeks with my dd. They said they couldn't see where it came from, but everything was fine.
Pregnancy is a very weird time!! Good luck for tomorrow, hun
