Anyone missing some of the banned food?

I think commercial shop bought ice creams and lollies are ok.

On some sites its says to avoid Mr Whippys and home made ice creams which are made using raw eggs.

I'm about to tuck into a Rolo cornetto thing mmmmmmmmm

I could cry looking at blue cheeses in the shops!

Oops didn't know about the Mr whippy thing, I've eaten loads of mcflurry's and whippy 99's while I've been pregnant especially in this hot weather!!! Gutted I have to give them up now.

I am missing brie and camembert mainly, especially when i see it in the fridge and i can't eat it, i still have my eggs a little bit runny when i have the occasional fry up. Ive not been avoiding peanuts as i think its a load of rubbish with the allergy thing. Mr whippy ice creams?? well ive had a few of those?? Ive not missed alcohol as i don't drink alot anyway.

I remember my mw last time telling me if the egss are fresh theres no reason not to have one!

Ive still eaten prawns too, now i want a runny egg lol

IMO you can never keep up with all they tell you you cant eat, drives me mad! xx

I had no idea bout this either! xxx

Wow I didn't know about the Ice Cream!! I've been begging my hubby to take me to get a McFlurry! He promised to take me on Sunday! Guess thats out the window now!
I have really been missing poached egg on toast, so yay!! I know what i'm having for lunch!
As for alcohol, I was quite concerned how I would be at controlling this, as I drank Bacardi & Coke most nights!! Even my hubby said he didn't think I could give it up! Thankfully our little bump makes me heave at the thought of a Bacardi & Coke! I bet its done my body the world of good! X x x

You lot are being so careful - I've had and am having pretty much everything!!

I had a major craving for cold meats - parma ham, salami etc in the first trimester and ate LOADS. I ALWAYS have my eggs runny and I've had smoked salmon, rare steaks (I think it's only meats that need to be cooked right through that are a problem - sausages, chicken etc), shell fish (as long as I know its all fresh and from a good source/restaurant - usually can't get fresher than living in an Island surround by the sea!!), brie and soft cheeses (if its pasturised), nuts, carbonara with raw egg yolks in and I've even had a little bit of pate (but only a couple of mouthfuls on a couple of occassions, not loads).

I hate Mr Whippy ice cream (once you've had Guernsey ice cream, theres no comparison!! LOL) so no fear of me having that.

Personally, I just think use your common sense.

I have desperately missed having a few glasses of pear cider over ice in a pub garden!

I've been confused by the McFlurry thing. I understand the Mr Whippy because you can't guarantee that the ice cream was made with pasteurised products, you can't rely on the hygiene being up to snuff in an ice cream van and they reckon ( from what I've read) that whippy ice cream is kept at a warmer temperature so there could be a risk of listeria.

However again reading online all the McDonalds ingredients is pasteurised and that machines are cleaned down and put on a cleaning mode every night. I can't imagine that McFlurrys are unsafe otherwise MaccyD's would be liable big time.
