I'm pretty much ok with most of the food were not supposed to have. However I am REALLY missing dippy eggs. I really would like my fried egg with a slightly runny yolk back as my Sunday morning treat.

I love pate so I miss that and I'm totally confused about peanuts I dunno if you are allowed them
Or not

From what I've read if your not allergic or sensitive to peanuts you are probably ok. But if you are sensitive best avoided as more chance of passing the sensitivity/allergy to the baby.

I have no adverse reaction to them. So have been eating stuff with nuts in and had a couple of handfuls the other night. I'm not mad on peanuts so its not like I'm stuffing them down.

i got told so long as you or anyone in your immediate family or oh or his immediate family do not have peanut allergies, then you are fine to eat them xx

I've been eating nuts too. I'm with you on the dippy egg but not fried, don't like fried stuff! The main thing I'm missing is alcohol now, wot with the nice weather and BBQs!

i made OH 2 boiled eggs with runny yolks and toasted soldiers thins morning...i had to have mine scrambled...

cant believe i cant have a runny yolk for 9 months...lol..small price to pay i guess xx

The eggs, smoked salmon, blood in my steak, salami, goats cheese, mussels (seafood pasta or risotto!) the list goes on!!

A nice glass of Rose! Replacing it with shloer and other non alcoholic wines. Not the same though. :-( still, it'll be worth it in the end.

Blimey you lot are being careful! The only thing Ive avoided is liver pate and oysters

The way I look at it is when was the last time you heard someone catching salmonella from an egg at the supermarket?(or listeria from a bit of cheese for that matter?) they come out of the fridge and cooked till they're hot even if they're still runny - there's no way I'm stopping my bacon and eggs sandwiches for breakfast on my day off! especially as I get to lay in bed while OH makes them
I'm still having feta and brie too - just check it says pasturised on pack first and have a bit of a thing for peanut butter on toast with slices of banana on top...
Erm still eating prawns too and wouldn't say no to mussels

Pinkyprincess just read salami and rare steak?? am I not supposed to have them either?

I've read You can only eat things like salami and prosciutto raw as they aren't cooked but you can have them cooked (I have them on pizza.) I believe all meat must be well cooked which is gutting as I hate overdone steak! With the muscles I'm paranoid about getting a bad one so I made a personally choice on them.

I've been told by my midwife that you can have your eggs runny as long as they have that red stamp on them (which all supermarket bought eggs have), as those chickens have been immunised against salmonella.

I miss blue-veined cheeses and smoked salmon and the occasional glass of bubbly wine (although I'm generally finding it much easier to go without alcohol this time round than I did in my last pregnancy, thank heavens!).

I was at a concert last night and would have killed for a lager lime or a soft whipped 99 icecream!!!

Missing my dippy eggs and mr whippy ice cream!! I have had major cravings for full english breakfasts with dippy eggs yummmmm!

I miss pate, steaks, but most of all i'm missing alcohol! let myself have a shandy in this weather, no more than half a can of larger made up to a pint with lemonade and then only one, but it does taste good.

I really miss Mr Whippy icecreams n McFlurry's! Need one......

It's just the whippy one we should avoid, as it's to do with the machines they are dispensed from. They can carry risk of listeria and I think sometimes it's not always pasteurised.
