Anyone know how to clean a Nikon D40X?

Thought I might put this in here seeing as this is where all the photo takers hang out, hope that's ok

We've got a Nikon D40x camera and it's just started having a blob on the photo, you can't see it on the screen when you take the photo but it appears once the photo has been taken...

I've taken out the lens, cleaned both end of the lens ans the mirror inside the camera but it's still there.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I'd take it to a camera shop and ask them to have a look at it. x
