Anyone else using cb advanced opk's this month?

I started them this month- had my 3rd flashing smiley this morning.... Hoping for a solid smiley tomorrow as I only have 1 left! If its still flashing in the morning ill be getting some more after work!! I have irregular cycles so use more tests than the 10 i had in the box! Fingers crossed I don't have to buy another box ever again!

Right I'm confused! I got my first flashing smiley on Monday morning and continued to get flashing smileys for the next 3 mornings. I ran out of tests yesterday so had to get some more to use this morning- I was expecting either a solid smiley or another flashing.... And I've just got an empty circle- so anyone know what's going on? Is it because I've started a new test? Or have I had a really quick surge that would have happened last night but because I've been testing with the advanced- they're to use in the morning. I'm confused

Also I got my flashing smiley on my 7th test- I got 10 in my box so and I remember reading they can give u two flashing and two solid ( so part of me think they're programmed to detect a flashing smiley on the 7th test, another on the 8th and then a solid for two days) x
If you used the holder from the new tests that would explain the low reading, you're supposed to use the new test strips in the old holder to get a continued reading, the new holder wouldn't of been used before so would of started a new cycle. As for all the flashings and that, the first month I used them I got 1 low(empty face), 3 high (flashing face) and then a peak. The second time I got 2 low, 7 high then peak. I think it varies from woman to woman and cycle to cycle. Some women don't get any flashing smilies just go from empty to solid. Don't worry too much just yet, keep at it. These test are like marmite, you'll either love it or hate! Good luck hun, I'll be using them again soon x

Ah thank you I didn't know that! I've used my fmu already so if I was to do it again in another 8 hours after holding wee in do you think I will get a reading in the old holder? If not i have one of the other clearblue tests which i used to use in the evenings so may even use that one tonight and if there's no smiley ill go back to the advanced tomorrow morning and see what the result is. I used the old clearblue opk last night anyway and had an empty circle so hopefully if i use it tonight ill get my smiley! TTC is hard work! We've dtd everyday since Monday and I just know by the time we get our smiley we will be too tired to actually do it!! Plus I don't want it to become a chore but I have to grab my chance as I have a period miss a period so if we don't catch it this cycle we have to wait until September x

I've read threads from other forums and some of the women were using them twice a day like a cheapie opk so it must work (and work out expensive!). I'd do the other opk as well just to be on the side, these tests don't always pick up a surge but it doesn't tell you that in the intstructions. I hope you catch the egg this time x

I'm also trying the CB dual hormone OPKs this month - first time using them for me and already caused a bit of confusion. Had a flashing smiley then solid smiley about four days before I was expecting to ovulate. Unconvinced I carried on testing after this and had the clear circle for a couple of days and now have the flashing smiley again! I'm guessing earlier results were a false reading so if anyone else experiences this I would advise to keep testing so as not to miss the true smiley days.

Hi Sunshine75, I didn't think the tests would allow you to test again for 48 hours after your first solid smilie? I believed that it would give you an error.
Maybe you are OVing earlier than you thought - hope you got some BDs in just in case!

Hi,
I used my first advanced digi CB ovulation test today. It took much longer than the other CB digi ovulation tests to show a result - has anyone else found this to be true?
Anyway it was a blank circle. I am only CD9 but iv had light cramp in my lower tummy for the past 3 days so I thought il start poas a day earlier as I was going to start tomoro.
So, iv got 9 tests left and i'll use them for the next 9 days. Im right in saying its to be FMU?

Yes with fmu. I've not used the other cb digi's so I don't know how they compare but I thought it felt like a long time some mornings. For the last 2 cycles I've had the empty face low reading on the first day so that's normal, I had one the second day of testing the second month I used them so don't worry if you get another one tomorrow. Good luck with them xx

Thanks Coz! I have only been fortunate enough to catch 3 months of ovulating out of 15 and those dates have been 14th, 19th and 16th days of the cycles. So im hoping that by starting using the CB advanced sticks il def catch ovulation this month!

You're right - the solid smiley stayed there for 48 hrs so I started testing again after that. I thought I must be ovulating early so got some BDs in and again with the later results just to be on the safe side. Thankfully OH is laid back about me and my ovulation tracking!
