Hi can I but in

I was crapping myself about the labour too but time just flies- i was in painful labour for about 30 hours but it didnt seem that long. Remember that relatively it is only a short period of time and it really is worth every minute of pain when you are holding your baby for the first time and every single moment afterwards.

I was told by my midwife- you dont win any awards for refusing pain relief

Good luck ladies, it is an amazing time :D

I'm afraid that I do not cope with pain very well, but feel more positive after I got talking to a young mum a couple of weeks ago. She came into the shop with her baby boy.

Her advice to me was NOT to listen to any horror stories and that she had been petrified at the thought of labour. She told me that there really isn't any reason to be worried about it, in fact it's pretty good fun!

I shall be hanging onto her advice for the next 7 months, oh and no doubt the gas and air when the time comes

Sorry I haven't been on the forum for ages but you're all bloody brilliant. Thanks so much for the positive stories. Absolutely fantastic.
