Hi ladies
I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience of being induced at 37/38 weeks? I have been told lots of horror stories of people needing emergency C sections due to the induction process not working.
I have bilateral uterine notching and last year we lost our little boy at 36 weeks so I am high risk and my placenta function is a concern due to potential reduced blood flow from the uterus to the placenta. I have a review with the doctor tomorrow because our consultant is off sick and we should be getting a date for induction. I am just really worried about needing an emergency C section and it all becomes a traumatic experience after our last birth being very traumatic but in a different sense. My bereavement midwife will deliver our baby and I will be monitored closely and if any doubt go for a c section, but that could also be very stressful. I just can't decide if an elective C section would be better and less traumatic but then I worry about what that means for breast feeding because obviously you haven't delivered naturally so will my milk still come in?
My labour with Harrison was very fast but apparently I was given much stronger induction drugs than people normally get.
I just want to make the right decision, I guess I am just so scared of something going wrong.
Just want to be armed with info for tomorrow X
