Hi ladies,

I can't get Devon to take a dummy much, I wanted to use one to give my boobs a break when he is in one of his continually feeding sessions! or to stop him trying to snack or need my nipple to fall asleep after a feed!!

We have the Tommiek tippee ones, but he keeps pushing out with his tounge. we have been trying for about 6 weeks now, thought that best to stick with the make thats the same as our bottles, (for when I express), so he knows them, but it doesn't work. (pic below of like the one we have, sure nipple gets squashed just like this).

Any good dummys for breastfed babies? Thanks:lol:

I have no suggestions sorry Hun i never could get Tegan to take a Dummy! hope you find one soon x

Pauric wouldn't take a a silicone dummy but he loves the latex ones :eh:

His faves are the Asda ones (2 for a pound) :)

Isla will only take the Mothercare ones. I've got a couple of Tommee Tippee ones like the ones in your picture, but she doesn't like them. I think they are too flat - the Mothercare ones are bigger.

Layla had tommee tippee, mam n now nuby ones too, that seam to be the best ones for us, x

Lol Sofia takes any! I have some Humphreys corner ones, 2 for a pound in the pound shop and she likes them the best I think! I take the tommee tippee ones aroun in my change bag as try come in that little case, easy transportation :)

Drake had those ones Jenni but they kept falling out so I got him the cherry ones, I bought him the next size up though so he would grip it better! He loves them!

Aiden loves his poundland dummies too! His are mickey ones though (so want some Humphrey ones!) the teat part Is a lot smaller than his other dummies so I think that makes a difference. Maybe try some different shaped/size ones?

I think it's just a trial and error thing. Kieron started off with the tommee tippee 1's with a flat teat but didn't take to them so we changed to the 1's shown above but now he'l take either.
My niece would only have the mam 1's cos they have a wider teat,my eldest 2 would only take cherry teats xx

alex was breastfed and spat out the tt ones he has had avent and no probs with that or the tt cherry soothers latex ones he doesnt really mind x

I've got silcone and latex ones from there chick just all depends on your nearest shop. Mine do different shaped ones too. It's worth buying a couple as you never know, saves wasting money on more expensive ones :)

Mam are fantastic!! Their a little on the pricy side but you can get some lovely designs and they stay in charley's mouth for longer when he's asleep!

Mason has the tommee tippee ones but he was also fussy but we found he took to the air flow ones but only the 0-3months size its a flat shape.xxx

Lizzie will take most but Mam are definitely the favourite! They seem to stay in just that *little* bit longer, which can make all the difference when she's dropping off!

I had the same problem with those, they slip out too easily. So someone on the forum recommend the tommee tippee cherry type dummies and he's able to keep it in alot better although it still pops out when he's overly keen at sucking it lol. I really recommend them though
