Hiya, me and OH have been discussing hols and we decided we'd go to south England this time next year for a week or so. Just wondered if anyone here is from them regions or go holidaying there and if you can recommend any area to stay?

There will be me, OH, 3 friends and baby Reece(who will be nearly 2 then  ) so i need to go somewhere thats child friendly i suppose.

Also if anyone rents cottages out down there i'd be very interested!!! :D

Hiya
I've stayed in Newquay a few times, we love it. We usually stay in a caravan park there cos of the swimming pools and kids entertainment etc. The place where we stay is called Hendra.

As for holiday cottages, we are renting this one this year, I cannot wait!
but that's south Wales. good rental websites are
www.cottages4you.co.uk
www.classic.co.uk

Cheers Urchin great sites

That cottage you'll be staying at looks lovely-dead cosy :D

hiya i live in Cornwall, was going to also say Newquay or St ives is nice! :D

ooo i love cornwall.
Id say avoid Newquay for sure - and go somewhere like padstow area. lovely beaches and scenery etc.
i used to stay at mother ivys bay which is lovely. :D

I'm off to St Ives Bay caravan Park at the beginning of July with my dad and Jayden. I normally go abroad every year but that's not going to happen for a while now which i don't care as it would be too much hassle with equipment for a young one in tow. I like Cornwall and so staying in a Chalet down there. Woolacoombe in Devon is always a firm favourite with me as well. For overnight visits and where I got married is in Bridport Dorset, not sure if that's a holiday place but it's lovely there. Dartmouth is also lovely. If I had to choose though it woud be St Ives or Woolacoombe for a hol. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
