Well Tyler is 3 months (pretty much) now and he doesn't like laying in his buggy anymore. Part if this is because I've used the carseat a lot as it's easier for me to get it down the stairs in the flat.

Anyway he loves looking at stuff in the buggy. What age do they go in the seat??

I'm happy using the car seat while he fits in it but I'm curious!

I put O in the buggy bit now it has a head support bit and he was fine loves looking around when we r going around

I thought that making them sit upright too early damages their backs? That's why baby stuff is all sloped? Could be wrong!

i waited for 5.5 months for that reason pinky, just didn't want to do anything now that could hurt them later and waiting for a few months wasn't too hard!

I've just started putting her in the seat unit part of our Bugaboo, she is 5 and a half months :) She has been pulling herself up so tbh it wasn't safe keeping her in the carrycot any longer. She is too big for it really!

I used my lightweight buggy for short trips with Sophia when she was quite young (just collecting my daughter from school, so from car to school gates and back!) but it is suitable from birth and I had it in the fully reclined position. I don't really like having her scrunched up in her car seat, she always looks so uncomfortable!

We put Alice in her buggy seat a few weeks ago, she loves looking around at everything and it's better for her "blow raspberries at everyone" phase!

Our buggy can lie flat or on a slop as well as upright! We haven't say him up yet cos of the spine thing :)

I worry about the car seat. If he has enough lay down time at home it's not too bad for him is it?

So long as they aren't constantly in the car seat it should be fine. Like if he spends lots of time lying flat at home. Looking forward to cam using his buggy but he's not big/strong enough yet.

I moved Jake to the buggy part at 5 months, it is from newborn but I waited anyway and I just only let him sit up right in it the other day and he is 6 months next week, I was worried about his back too and I understand about it being hard being in a flat, the car seat makes them a lot heavier! I live on the 3rd floor with no lift xxx

I put K sitting up well early! She'd outgrown the lying down bit and had good strength tho! It really makes me sad seeing tiny little babies sitting up looking all scrunched up :(

I saw someone yesterday pushing around an upright buggy with what looked like a newborn in it! Poor thing looked so scrunched up it had no support whatsoever :(

God Rachael I would have had to say something that is so cruel poor lil bubs

They recommend 6 months for buggy (whoever 'they' are lol) xxx

I'm getting my new stroller tomorrow as she likes to sit up for the first bit when we're out. I've made sure it's lays flat though as she manages about 15-20 mins looking around then wants to lay down and amuse herself before going to sleep
I put off sitting her up in it as long as possible but she would just get iterate trying to pull herself up cause she's so nosey lol

It depends on the pushchair. Some are designed from birth others from 3+ or 6 months. I like baby to be well supported, no matter what the age.
My nephew went in my city mini, lying flat at 3 months and looked comfy and snug. It was a short trip as it was freezing but its a comfy pushchair and he was asleep in minutes.

I hate them all scrunched up in the car seat when attached to the pushchair, so like fully reclining "from birth" pushchairs, with head huggers and the bottom part of a cosytoes to make it softer , sometimes they call them pushchair liners when in summer, but lovely and soft! Mine were always in the pushchair too as backwoods and forwards to school or activities for the older ones, and mine were all quite floppy so not supporting themselves much , as only sat unaided from late / 10 months. I always wanted to try one of those pushchairs that had carrycots on them instead, so like having baby in a moses basket on wheels!! maybee if I get another chance ...

I moved Paige from her carrycot to pushchair at about 3 months but the Quinny is suitable from birth with the pushchair part as it lies completely flat. Just meant she could see a bit more.
