And then there were 2 :)

Jeeze our Lexi has piled it on then hasnt she  sticking with sma for now, HV said the colic will ease anyway with stage 2 as it sits for longer in the tummy etc so fingers crossed thats the case as i'm nearly out of colief

xx

Yeah Leo had that one from about lexis age his colic wasn't really better or worse to be honest but i hope she gets better on it hun x

Wow so u weren't too far off with it makeshift weighing? Harry is on the 75th percentile line for weight and height, do seems to be well balanced lol

What is stage 2 milk? How is it different? Lol U can tell I just boob feed, I haven't a clue about formula!! Think that's why I isn't give up that easy withy he tongue tie problems, I didn't want to have to figure out formula lol

Sounds like an interesting day u had too and I would be totally peeved at getting so wet! well done on losing 2lbs already, definitely a boost to stick at it when u know it's working xx

Stage 2 milk is for 6months+ and is used for when your weaning baby, apparently it sits for longer in the stomach making them feel fuller for longer and also apparently because it sits in the stomach longer the chance of getting trapped wind and gas is lowered so fingers crossed her colicky symptoms go, i started her on it yesterday tea time and shes happy as larry this morning although she didnt sleep as well as usual but its supposed to not take effect straight away, my mates daughter goes 3 hours between feeds during the day now and sleeps from 9pm until 7am and thats since starting on stage 2 so fingers crossed haha!

As for weight i'm confused, ive looked at my scales this morning...now i think theres 14lbs in a stone??!! well my scales dont have 14 little markers between say 11 and 12 stone, just 7 so i'm taking that as mine go up in twos, but if thats the case then when i got weighed yesterday it showed i had actually lost 4lb and i got weighed again today and its showing 3 lines under 12 stone (i was 12 stone exactly before the diet) so that would mean a total weight loss of 6lb so far but that just seems a lot to lose in 3 days :eh:

xx

As directed by the HV we started Elexis on stage 2 formula yesterday tea time! I was a little apprehensive as no colic drops went into it as shes not supposed to be as colicky with stage 2! missus was asleep by 09:30pm and i went up to bed with her at 10:10pm, her first wake up call for a bottle was 12am, then 02:20am, 03:55am, 05;05am and finally 06:30am so we had a bit of a shabby night compared to the last week or so, but again, at least it wasnt every hour on the dot! Shes very cheerful and smiley this morning, no whinging as of yet so fingers crossed we have seen the last of the colic, but if not, i have just spoke to the doctor over the phone and hes done me a repeat prescription of it for 6 bottles  nice one Mr Doc hehe! The only other thing i need to watch for on stage 2 is constipation and ive to take her off of it if she starts with constipation and water doesnt help so again fingers crossed this doesnt happen!

Diets still going ok...i could still cain a big fat pizza or something i shouldnt but i'm holding out! had a ww chicken tikka masala for tea last night which was lovely and had ww tomatoe soup with a slice of weight watchers bread for my dinner which was also yummy! All out of soup today so looks like a ham sandwich with my ww bread :) and i havent decided on tea yet! Cant wait until i actually get my first comment of "ooh youve lost weight" hehe! that could be a way off yet though!

Well seems this milk is agreeing with missus so far...no colic symptoms :yay: her poo has got more solid but nothing too serious (yet) i'll just keep giving her aired water to help that along! Shes not going longer as far as sleep is concerned yet although she has woken this morning and not whinged for a bottle straight away like usual :) just wish her sleeping pattern on a night would improve, she went to sleep at 09:45pm last night, up to bed at 10;05pm, first woke at 10:15pm and then was restless after that feed, woke everytime i put her down, she finally went to sleep at 10:45pm and woke again at 01:30am, 03:50am, 05:20am and finally at 07:45am...come on Elexis, start going 4 hourly haha!

Due to her jumping up through the centiles also, she has to have an extra weigh in too, maybe its to see if swapping formula is helping to keep her on track maybe! People cant believe she is only 10 weeks old...tbh, i thought she was big as every time i've been to the docs and seen other babies having their 1st AND 2nd jabs, they all have looked so tiny and newborn and Lexi looks humongus compared to em  well i love having a super chunk anyway, it'll all come off when shes on the move (thats if she even manages to move with all the chub  hehe) i've also had to put her into 3-6 months bottoms as i cant get any of her 0-3 months over the top of her chubby legs  bless!

And heres a pic of the chubby little things  hehe

Photo0430.jpg

Still doing well with the diet too, OH made a WW chilli last night bless him, it did use all my points up for that day so i couldnt munch later in the evening but tbh, it filled me up anyways :) no more getting weighed now until Monday, i'll be more suprised then if i see a big difference rather than just little bits :)

xx

She is i little chunk x what size nappies she in x i got Elliott in size three but only because he is so long lol. He is a buggar really. Hates having a yet nappy so cries when its not that wet but i change him anyway as i wouldn't want a soggy big fanny rag between my legs lol.

Elliott woke up about the same hun. 1. 3. And 5 then Leo at half six so wasn't impressed but hey ho x onwards and upwards x

Shes in size 3's too :) and yes i have to agree with the "soggy big fanny rag between the legs" it just wouldnt be very comfortable at all lol!

Deffo onwards and upwards too...in a few years time we will be laughing at our zombified selfs and the sleepless nights! Such a shame i wont be doing it a 3rd time...(sarcasm intended lol)

xx

I saw another baby having her jabs at the same time as Harry and thought she was tiny for the same age! Harry is on the 75th line still so I know he isn't huge, but he is bigger than average lol. I don't mind all the more squishy lol Lovely chubby legs lexi has, super cute :D

I have Harry in size 2 nappies but I'm finding them really small, didn't realise they were only up to 13lbs, he hasn't long stopped wearing size 1's and it looks like I need to change them already! xx

I never really go by weight as some babies are longer fatter or rounder x

Its madness the size difference from 2 to 3 in nappies! And tbh i dont think theres much of a difference between size 1 and 2 so make no wonder your ready for the next size up

Grr i am sure visitors put Lexi out of sync!!! Yesterday, we had mum and my 4yr old half brother Lewis up as well as my OH's mum, dad and sister all visiting at the same time! Lexi didnt sleep the whole time, in fact she even took 5oz straight off at one point which is soooo not like her! When every one had gone she was quite whingy even after a bottle and everything, but i have noticed that if i havent got her into her PJ's when i usually have then she gets whingy and is fine once shes in them...thats routine for ya haha!! Anyway, she didnt go to sleep while about 8pm and had a feed at 10:40pm i went up to bed with her just after 11, she was awake for feeds at 01:30am, 02:40am, 04;00am, 05:30am, 06;00am, 06:45am thats when i finally said sod it and got up...so basically nearly every friggin hour, only taking an oz at a time, even her nappy wasnt as soaked as usual! She has done nothing but chew her fist this morning, shes had a feed and is still doing it so i think personally its the good old teeth moving grr, so i've given her some calpol to see if that helps!
Her poo seems to be getting quite solid too, shes been thrusting this morning but nothings occured, if she doesnt do anything today or tomorrow it looks like shes back onto stage 1 formula :( which is pants as apart from the poops she seems to be doing really well on stage 2, not had to use colief or anything, shes bringing her wind up much better etc!

As for me and the diet, its going ok still, not given in to anything i shouldnt yet, had a couple of glasses of wine last night but just took that out of my spare points  been a bit naughty and got weighed this morning, gone from 12 stone to 11 stone 8 :yay: Final weigh in for the week is Monday though so my mission is to hopefully get to 11 stone 6 this week so fingers crossed!

xx

Leo had bad poo on it hun just make the morning bottle with a scoop missing to get more water in her my health visitor told me to do that as Leo wouldn't take water on its own. Only the one bottle though x

You may have to do what i did with Leo and let her cry a little for her next bottle and make her wait as she sounds like she is grazing after the feeling of a full tummy all the time x i started with at least two hour gap then increased it to two and a half then three x

She takes water no problem, every day i've given her water since putting her on stage 2 and shes took around 3oz, she has managed a poo today and its not that bad actually thank God :) And yeah, i think the next time she takes a good few oz i'm gonna make her wait it out, like yesterday for instance when she took 5oz straight off, i should of kept a note of time etc and made her go 2 hours until the next feed! I'm gonna have to do it that way, the HV said it sounds like shes getting her fill through the day and just topping up through the night, i'd rather it be the other way around though haha!

xx

Tried making my greedy moo wait 2 hourly between feeds yesterday, she had a couple of oz before i started and fell asleep so i started timing after then, because she had only took 2oz i made her wait as long as i could but gave in after 1 and a half hours, she then took 5oz straight off and was ok after the feed for half hour before getting whingy again, but i persisted with her and she fell to sleep after an hour and half...for all of 15 minutes lol! managed to get her to wait 1 hour 50 minutes for the next feed, but then she only took 2 1/2 oz and then spewed it all back up, every time i gave her a bottle she just brought it back up and it wasnt just a bit! At one point she started to choke, her face went bright red and she couldnt breathe, i was chucking her all over, onto her front, slapping her back...finally she caught her breath, but gave me such a scare! Because she was not herself and seemed a bit off it i just let her feed on demand, also gave her calpol yesterday as all she has done is chew her fists and drool, deffo think she is teething!

Last nights sleeping went better than the night before, she fell asleep at around 09:30pm, i took us to bed at 22:50pm and her feed times were 01:15am, 03:25am, 05:30am and 06:55am so rather proud of my little spud, i dont mind 2 hourly :)

Shes a happy little thing this morning too, all smiles since waking up, currently laid on the sofa by the side of me babbling, smiling away and kicking her chubby little legs

Managed to stick with the diet yesterday too, had some alcoholic drinks but my spare points will cover that :) weigh day tomorrow...so lets see what my final weight loss is for the week...and then try and shift some more next week!! Its my SIL's birthday beginning of October and my mission is to fit into some of my old going out clothes ready for my first night out on the town...but if not it will be nice spending a bit of cash getting a new outfit hehe!!

Had a pretty decent night with missy moo last night she was asleep by 09:35pm, we went up to bed at 09:55pm as i was knackered and wanted to get some sleep before her next feed, but missy woke at 09:56pm lol 1 minute after putting her in her moses basket ha! i left her to stirr for a while as she was in and out of sleep and wasnt crying so i was desperatley hoping she would drift back off, i ended up feeding her at 10:15pm, put her back down and she was still restless and stirring, she fell to sleep around 10:30pm and woke for a feed at 12:55am, then 2am and then she didnt wake again until 5am :D so she did super well between 2 and 5 ha! I did feel like i got plently of sleep in though!

Still doing good on the stage 2 formula, she hasnt been constipated on it at least and its a god send not having to wait half an hour for colic drops to work :)

As far as the diet goes, i got weighed this morning, gone from 12 stone to 11 stone 9lb so thats a loss of 5lb :D which i'm happy with as i was quite naughty yesterday but its sooooo OH's fault, he knows i'm dieting yet comes home yesterday tea time from the supermarket with a massive mixed kebab that he called in at the takeaway for on his way back, it smelt lush and due to me been on my monthly and craving bad shit i had a small plate of that and half a mars bar  never mind this weeks a new week and i've started as i mean to go on, so lets see if i can lose another 5lb...school starts on wednesday, gonna walk the longest way home and power walk, that should help me lose the lbs too :)

xx

I wouldn't worry about diet hun i am still struggling to keep to mine. Bet you would love to have my little Elliott for a night lol x i remember when Leo was like your lexi x
