amount to feed when expressing

when you express into a bottle how much do you give baby? Alex is 4 weeks today and not sure if 3 ozs would be enough for a feed to take out?

Tegan is 9 weeks and i express 5oz and she usually takes 4 so i think 3oz will be fine Hun xx

When Chloe was 4 weeks I had to go into hosp I thought she would only have to express 3oz so I expressed 7 just incase she needed 2 feeds when gone and the extra oz incase I was extra long - she ate the whole 7 in one sitting! I was so shocks when hubby told me lol!!

Thanks i took 4 in the end but he still wanted more so he had to have boob for 10mins about anhour later suppose it will vary and i need to be sure he has a feed before i go out

I asked the HV this as I was not allowed to bf before a procedure, so needed 2 feeds from EBM, she said 3 oz, so i defrosted 3 1/2 and this seemed to satisfy him while I was not about as he went to sleep and actually napped when I gave him the first (was hoping to have my friend give it all thst was looking after him) and was happy enough and playing after the 2nd, it took him a while to realise I was back that is feeding every 2 hours though...
