Am I pregant?

Hi, im new to the forum so hi everyone!

My partner and I are trying for our 1st baby.
My period is 2 days late and i took a test this morning and it said "not pregnant".
It wasnt my first wee of the day, does that matter?
could I still be pregnant?

Any help appreciated!

Hi and welcome!

The first wee of the day is the strongest level of HCG which is what the sticks pick up on. I'd say to use cheapies first then a clear blue digital once you get your BFP - big fat positive on the cheapies. I must admit my period never returned after coming of the pill so i don't know how long you are meant to leave it before a test would give a definitive answer.

You're welcome! I got mine from tesco but I think alot of ladies get theirs of eBay in bulk. I only used 5 tests all in all from January to March.

I was also 6 weeks pregnant when I found out so the cheapie picked it up really quick with a strong pink, I've attached what mine looked like. It was so quick to show as well. Then thr CBD showed 3+ weeks pregnant.

Def use fmu as the tests pick the pregnancy up easier! I used eBay cheapies, they worked fine!! Goodluck x x

FMU - first morning urine - first wee of the day

As the others have said definitely best as the pregnancy hormone (hcg) builds up over night then so more likely to get a positive. I ordered a pack of 20 tests from ebay and used those first. When I finally got a BFP on those I used a CBD! x

I did a cheap "boots" test this morning (FMU) and i still got a BFN!
Still no period tho?!
Will try again Sunday or Monday I think!
