Am I able to do a test. Advice please.

Hi I am wondering whether it is worth doing a test or whether I should wait a couple of weeks. I had unprotected sex a day or two before my period was due. My period came but a lot lighter than normal and lasted 2 days rather than 7. I want to do a test but dont know whether I should wait. I've also been experiencing back pain different to normal and a weird discomfort in my abdomen, but maybe I'm paranoid. Weve literally only just started trying, so I'd be surprised if I was, but my instinct is saying I am.

You only had sex before your period was due? If so it's highly unlikely you are pregnant.
If you've been having sex all month, it sounds promising. X

The bleed could be implantation bleed and not your period.
You can test 48 hours after.

Only gonna know if you test. Good chance if you have sex throughout your cycle x
