Hi
Looking for your thoughts on our shortlisted boys names. We wanted a name that was not common but not too out there. Our favorite name was always Jax (possibly Jaxon for a "proper" name) but everyone seems to hate this which is rude!! That brought us round to more traditional names and we have a Scottish surname that goes with most names so it's nice to have a Scottish first name too I suppose.
Baby's middle name has to be Graham shock as it's my husband's fathers name and his family have a tradition of doing that so I can't change this. I am an only child so felt compelled to have Alexander as a middle name after my grandpa but I'm not sure I want two middle names which brought us to Alexander as a first name.
Choice 1: Alexander - nice Scottish name and honors my Grandpa but is in the top 10 names which goes against what we were looking for. Goes nicely with our middle and surname (which is Gordon)
Choice 2: Lennox - another nice Scottish name but is not common and slightly unusual. Can call him "Knox" as a shortened name to keep the unusualness that we would have more with Jax. Goes with middle and surnames.
Choice 3: Just stick with Jaxon although it doesn't go that nicely with Gordon (I don't like the two "on" sounds. Always wanted to use "Jax" alone but that's causing too much controversy!
Following said controversy we're not telling anyone what our choice will be. DH is quite set on Alexander just now x
