So this is my first pregnancy so please forgive me if I'm worrying over nothing.
I'm 7 weeks pregnant today and have had cramps ever since I thought AF was due, tonight.. Well just now I went to the bathroom and when I wiped (Sorry TMI) there was the lightest pink on the tissue. Is this normal or do I need to contact someone?

Thank you for reading! Xx

Hey!

I have heard that cramping is normal and I get the odd cramp, but I don't know about pink. I know red fresh blood is bad news, but plenty of girls on here have had bleeds in pregnancy and gone on to have normal healthy pregnancies!

If it was me, I would probably have a panic so I would contact someone if it happened to me. Just to be sure and of course keep a close eye on it. With any luck its just the baby nestling in and getting comfortable and settled in there.

Good luck, keep us posted xxx

Thank you Lexi, I wiped again just after posting and theres nothing again now. I'm going to ring my midwife for peace of mind if nothing else and try and relax. Considering this was an unplanned pregnancy I'm growing very over cautious.

Aww I know, I remember when I had my first, unplanned and I was 19 and really tuned in to everything! Yeah there's nothing wrong with ringing her. If you wear light coloured knickers that you would easily be able to see any staining, that might be a good idea. Just to help you monitor it.

Pregnancy is a whirlwind of different experiences and emotions, its a rollercoaster but one of the most amazing experiences ever!

xx

Hi Kelly, I've had lots of cramping and spotting (brown though) early in my pregnancy, and was basically just told to wait it out by two midwives and my GP. It finally stopped at week 13 - so try not to worry too much, but definitely talk to your midwife for reassurance.

Most definitely can relate, i'm a natural worrier so trying so hard not to and relax but it's proving hard to say the least especially when I wipe and see pink..
That's a very good idea, i'm going to do that then i can monitor it without having to dash to the loo every so often in a panic.
My mum bled through most of her pregnancy with me so she keeps telling me not to worry unless my body gives me something to worry about...e.g really painful cramps and red blood.

So lovely to talk to someone who doesn't think i'm ott, thank you so much xx

Thank you mrs Z, so reassuring to know that i'm not alone and these things don't always mean the worse. I'm just going to spend a couple of hours relaxing and listening to some music before bedtime.
I'm not actually someone who ever imagined themselves being a mum but now i have that opportunity i'm terrified it will get taken away.. and I think because it's my first I have no idea what's normal and what's not.xx
