Hi,
Can anyone advise me, I am booked in for my D&C next Thursday (I found out on Wednesday at my 12 week scan that the baby had died around 9-10 weeks)
The last few times I ve been to the loo this evening I have got brownish discharge (I usually get this a day before my period)

Does this mean that I am starting to loose the baby naturally??????
If so does anyone know what I should expect?
The midwife told me that I need to ring the hospital this this does happen with the pregnancy lasting so long.
I have got a dull back ache too.
I am really scared as the midwife also said that I could recognise it as it passes!!!

Has anyone else had this? thank you xx

I didn't have this because I had d&c day after I found out x have you spoken to midwife/epu? x Im not sure what it means honey x big hugs x

No experience hun but thining of you. I think some people do still go for a D&C to make sure everything is out to avoid the risk of infection. I'd ring midwife of EPU if your unsure or need reassurance xxx

I am bleeding now, rang the hospital and they said if it becomes heavy I must go to the hospital. They said this light bleeding could last days x

Hi hon,
I mc earlier than you - about 6 and a half weeks and started light then got heavy with some big clots at the worst point. Thinking of you hon - hope ur ok xxx

Hope your ok florida girl

I was at work and had one bright red wipe, so we had the scan and found the same as you.

Then I got just spotting, slight bleeding (old stuff) for 4 days and then the night before D&C I then started having like a period amount of blood, then more and then couldn't leave the loo.

Wouldn't stop and got scared as there was soo much blood, like you had a tap going!
When I spoke to the EPU at my appointment they said if you can't keep a towell on for 15 mins without changing go and see them or A&E to get checked.

I had to call back my OH from work first and had to change every 20 secs or so as I was trying to make it downstairs, and then I went to A&E as it would not stop. I also got labour style cramps before the big bleed started very 2 mins lasting 2 mins which were very painful.

Just keep an eye on how long you bleed heavily as you loose track of time and get checked earlier than I did, as I ended up in a right mess and needed blood.

Take care XX (PM me if you want a chat anytime)
