Dear mummies
weve seen various pushchairs in the sales but we have no idea what to look out for. what is a good push chair and what isnt? Any advice to us naive parents would be much appreciated!
Many thanks x

Hi,

i think a good pushchair is what suits you. Personally i think travel systems are very good because thats all you'll ever need. You need to think about things such as

is the car seat easy to fit?
will the pushchair fit in the boot of your car with ease?
is it comfortable?
can it relax easy?

i think it all depends on your lifestyle, i myself went for the mutsy travel system. its very stylish but not so easy to manouver.

Dont just go for style as i made that mistake.

Hi Laura,

I have ben looking at pushcahirs in the sale too. The ones I have seen are the Maclaren techno (which is a pushcahir suitable from birth) and the Bebe Confort LooLa. What have you seen?

The only thing I am unsure about is whether there needs to be the opion to have the pushcahir rear facing. I like the idea of having a new born facing me to keep an eye on him/her Do you mummies think this is necessary?

Thanks :D

yes i always like my babies to face me, so i have a 3 wheeler pushchair that you put a car seat on top of the pushchair, so then it faces you!
when baby is older you can just use it as a 3 wheeler pushchair with out the car seat & the baby will then not face you.
mines from mothercare, its so easy to push, you can push one handed & its easy peasy to fold down for the car.

i have the pliko paremmete and a mamas and papas car seat its great cause while he is little he goes on the pram and i can look over him the whole time and he is lying flat and when he is older it converts into a pushchair..if you are planning long trips out in the car then in pushchair i would suggest not using it as a travel system with thecarseat attached cause babies shouldnt reallybe in a car seat constantly for over 3 hours

i have a graco and its lovely to push hes too big for pram bit so now in pushchair but just found out my car seat clips on it bonus

I have a mamas n papas primo viaggio system its great....i've just swapped from the carrycot/pram bit as Ashlea's more alert now and getting a bit bigger so i've just put the pushchair on the wheels....what i do find useful though is the car seat attatches to the wheels of the pram...but as others have said it depends on your lifestyle. I think its better to always have babies facing towards you..then you can keep a watchful eye on your little baby....there's loads of lovely systems to choose from now.....good luck and happy pram hunting....xxxx
