Hi, my partner and I have talked about having another baby and both said we would like to but haven't actually confirmed the fact that we are trying to conceive.
I had my coil taken out about 3 weeks ago now. we have had sex once or twice since. The problem is I have not had a proper period for years as I was pregnant for Jack and then had the coil fitted, so wouldn't have a clue when the best time of the month for TTC would be!!!! how soon after sex can you tell if you are pregnant? when should you take a test?

Any other advice on TTC etc etc would be helpful as I feel like I don't know anything!

its tricky not knowing where on your cycle you are but, dont quote me on it i think you can test 10 days after sex.

thanks. Jack was never planned and my partner and I weren't exactly in the right place to have a baby so its very different this time round. Its an odd feeling, quite nerve racking too!

10 days might not be long enough - on an average cycle you're fertile 14 days before AF - so 14 days after would be a better time to start testing - the early tests only give a positive result for about 30% of women

When I was pregnant for Jack I had very bad Carpal Tunnel, I was out cycling yesterday and got it again, which I do sometimes, but it was really bad this time - could it be a sign???

Also had a lot of lower back pain?
