My DH has a daughter from a previous relationship. She is 11 and he hasn't been allowed to see her from she was under 2. Not his decision but his evil ex. He is paying £287 a month, deducted straight from his wages, for a child he doesn't see. His wage isn't that high and when this is taken, then pay rent, car and living expenses he is left with less that what he pays each month for a child he hasn't seen in over 9 years. Don't get me wrong he knows he has to pay maintenance but the amount is crazy. Why should this child get more than our child? His daughter's mother is married now and therefore is getting support from her husband AND my husband lol
We were then told that when our baby came along and his circumstances changed that this amount would change. Yesterday that notification came through and it hasn't changed by one single penny!!! The last appeal letter sent by CSA asked for my wage slips which we so stupidly sent to them. So it looks like my wages are being taken into consideration even though this child has nothing to do with me. I haven't even met her. In hindsight we shouldn't have sent my wage slips. DH is going to phone and find out exactly what is going on.
Rant over. Just had to get it off my chest. I am sooooooooo cross.
