Early miscarriage has been confirmed she checked my cervix bleeding blood pressure and pulse. She was very nice and said baby would have been less than a week old x

I'm so sorry Sophie. Glad u got some answers eventually though. Good luck for a speedy recovery, mentally and physically. Sounds like your OH was like mine- didn't think that kind of thing could've happened to me, but I just knew it did. How is she now? Hope she's ok too x

Thank you. I'm not too good to be honest, bleeding heavily. The doctor asked me to go back on Monday to give her an update and my oh wants to have some questions answered like why wasn't a blood test needed. She's acting perfectly normal but were putting on a brave face because of my stepson x

I'm taking a guess here, but I think hormone levels would be too low and with it being so early on they wouldn't generally do a blood test. Especially as you were having negative tests by the time you were at gp. I really hope you don't mind me saying this and after several losses myself, it's not like I don't understand, but, you have got pregnant, so it a possibility it could happen again soon.

Aw I'm not surprised she wants to ask those questions.

Hope your bleeding stops soon. Remember you're allowed to be upset about what happened. At least things kind of have to be "normal" when there's other kids in the house so you have your daily routine. I bet it's hard right now but it'll get easier.

A missed miscarriage is when the baby has died but u havent started miscarrying, with mine i didn't know until the scan, if you've started miscarrying i dont think it's missed but i could be wrong xxx

Yeah I think a missed miscarriage needs further monitoring or treatment (methotrexate or an operation to remove "retained products" (when will they stop using that horrendous term?)) Inaccurate information is worse than none isn't it!

Well she checked my cervix and then said "what you've had is a very early missed miscarriage" she said she was happy to let me go home and no further treatment is required but if bleeding gets heavier i've got to go to hospital x

i'm really sorry yoiuve gone through this sophie. The mental part is much harder than the physical. Esentially, you will have a heavy period. Only, because you know it was the beginning of a pregnancy, it makes it so much harder to deal with. The doctors have it on record now and they wont be able to do more than they have.

I just waited to be alone in my house and balled my eyes out for 2hours straight! It got easier after a week or so, mainly because it was too early to get attatched...
