7w 4 days red spotting

Hi,

I am looking for some experiences / advice.

Yesterday before I went to work I went to the toilet and there was pink stain when I wiped so TMI but I put some tissue inside me and there was red blood which come out on the tissue, I have had nothing since. I went to A&E and the doctor reluctantly scanned me as there scanner isn't great and they cant do internal and we think we saw a heartbeat but the machine doesn't tell the beat its beating at. I had a scan at 6.4 weeks last week and we saw the heartbeat and everything was on track.

I am so worried I don't know what to do, I have had a few episodes of light brown spotting previously but not red.

Has anyone else had or know who anything similar with red blood, if so what happened?

I had very similar at around the same time as you, the midwife said it was implantation bleeding. The placenta implanting into the wall of the uterus which can cause some bleeding. Had a scan and everything fine.

Give your midwife a ring if you're worried and she may be able to get you a scan in early pregnancy unit who are probably better than A&E people xx

I had similar in my first pregnancy. Baby was low and I was on progesterone shots and bed rest. Take it easy hun and if you are still worried go in again x

Thanks ladies, I had a midwife appointment today and she is going to try and get me a scan.

Mystic - how did you find out about your low progesterone? I asked my midwife to test for it today and she said they don't test for it and its not something she would be concerned about xxx

I've had red bleeding. I think from 7 ish weeks onwards. The last time was at 14 weeks. It was red and clotty too and terrified me. I couldn't get a scan so booked a private asap and baby was fine. She's still fine. No explanation for any of the bleeding. Red bleeding is scary but it's a good sign that you've seen the heartbeat. And it could be nothing serious at all. Take it easy for now fx for you hun xx

They didn't test me for it. They just prescribed it when they saw on the scan that the baby was quite low. They also prescribed it without testing anything at 29 weeks as I was dilating x

Just updating this post and for anyone who may read in the future. I had a scan yesterday morning and baby is fine, measuring to the exact day 8w 1day. They can see a fairly large area of bleeding but they are not concerned apparently it does happen, then said I should expect some more spotting. Think I will pay for a private scan about 10 weeks to just check as I am quite anxious with this pregnancy after the MMC. Thanks for everyones support xxx

This happened to me also I was 8 wk +3 when they scan me said I had bleed next to baby outside sack the midwife said I will lose abit more and 2 days later I did I’m now 9wk +3 and I’ve also had Mmc so is worrying my next scan is over 2weeks away ��

It’s so worrying isn’t it, I am constantly checking my underwear. That’s why I think I will pay for a private scan as I haven’t been so bad today cus I had the scan yesterday but I know I will be anxious again in the next few days. Let’s hope it’s a good outcome for both of us hun xxxxxx

It is worring ! My next scan is 2weeks away although I’ve had no more bleeding I not feeling pregnant other then trotting to the loo every 10 mins and breast feel so heavy! I have 4 girls and with all of them I felt nausea sometimes sick and was very tired... fingers crossed for you too ..these sites can be reassuring x

I am the same I don't have any nausea or sickness, I have been longing for it just so I can feel pregnant, sounds silly longing to feel sick doesn't it lol. I have heavier boobs, slightly sensitive nipples apart from that I just feel normal, I do get tired but its not consistent. I think if I was throwing up or had major food aversions or something maybe I would feel better. How far along are you? Maybe you are having a boy and it was the girls causing you nausea xxx
