I'm trying soooo hard to shift my weight for our ivf referral I've gone to the gym loads for two weeks and eaten really well, weighed in tonight and stayed the same !

Now oh is not talking to me :-( I'm trying I really am, I need to do this for us. X
 
I feel your pain. I seem to just look at food and convert it to fat! Have you taken measurements as well as weight? If you have been hitting the gym you could be converting fat to muscle (which is heavier than fat). Don't give up, keep at it and you should see results.

Have u tried weight watchers? Id highly recommend it as I was on it start of new year and lost 2.1/2lbs 1st week and 3 the next. I had my embryo transfer yesterday so not going to be dieting but will be eating healthy. You can eat what u want on the programme as long as u stay within ur points. I joined online but if u join a meeting u will have the support from others too. I have also heard really good things about slimming world and I believe u can eat as much pasta, rice, fruit and veg including potatoes. Im sure u did loss something this week but in inches not weight so don't be hard on yourself. Xx
 
Dont loose heart. Could be the week before that has caught up my body works a week behind. Also upping exercise can have an effect but if you keep it going it pays off. I weigh people at a WW class and see this all the time. I know what its like feeling the pressure. I had to loose a substantial amount to get treatment!
 
Thanks girls, I prob will look around, I think with rosemary it's good because my mum comes & we can exercise together but may look at WW or SW,
I have my gym gear with me this morning, usually I'd probably say stuff it but like you say I'm hoping it's one of those weeks and next week will really show so I'm going g
To crack on and keep a little food diary too
It is so hard with the pressure ! X
 
Awww that's mean that your oh is not talking to you! It's not asif your not trying! he should be supporting you. I bet you've lost something it will just take a couple more weeks so keep at it :) have you tried cutting carbs? That's a quick way to lose weight you dont have to do it to extremes but it does defiantly work xxx

Keep at it, it'll start to pay off, it has too if you're committed to the gym! Have you got myfitnesspal on your phone? It might be a good way of seeing where you're getting most calories from. There are so many diets that it's a minefield, I generally stick to a low carb diet as it's the way I prefer to eat and I like lots of food doctor type meals. Maybe try this 5:2 diet? Hubby needs to lose a couple of stone and he's lost 4lbs in 2 weeks doing it. Big hugs, you'll get there, it'll suddenly start falling off and your OH will eat his words! Xx
 
Keep at it and the weight will come off. Eat less carbs and try making homemade soups. I lost 2.5 kg in 2 weeks before starting clomid (not that I recommend crash dieting). Big hugs xx
 
Your doing fab hun so please don't give up.
Using myfitnesspal really helps me to track what I'm eating.
I try and be good in the week and when it's not raining I do a 2mile power walk in my lunch break, seems to do me the world of good.
Tell oh to go do one.

Thanks girlies really means a lot, I decided balls to oh I love him but sometimes he's a wallly and instead of saying what's on his mind he shuts down
But I didn't fall off the wagon and I've carried on through the week. Today is day six of exercise! Lol! Tomorrow a nice rest day
My mum and I usually go rosemary but she finds it hard to do it and track it so Thursday we are going to give SW a go & I I'm using my fitness pal loads

Mél i tried to add on fitpal but can't figure it out lol x
 
Hi Hun I was going to reply to this thread before but my mind wandered!! I was going to suggest slimming world. I do it and find it really easy to do, with not too much planning

You can still eat all the stuff you want to eat (well I love pasta, rice, potatoes etc!!). There's also some fab support groups on FB that are great for ideas
