37 weeks.. Bloody show and fanny daggers!

How are we doing ladies?

I had an upset tummy this morning and a bout of nausea this afternoon so haven't eaten much just in case (other than toast) and made my best efforts to "tidy up" and shave everywhere hahahaha

Bd'd last night but no signs down there of anything happening. Bebe still moving as usual and just been uncomfortable most of the day.

Anything happening for you guys? Xx

Was just going to ask you guys the same! I had a sweep yesterday, had lots of period-type cramping and lost what looked like most of my mucus plug this morning, but cramping has gradually worn off today and no other signs of anything happening :( Today's home induction attempts have included sex, pineapple and raspberry leaf tea with no luck! Going for another sweep if no progress in the next couple of days, then will probably go for the induction I've been offered on Sunday. When I got the sweep the midwife said my cervix was getting there but I was only 1cm dilated so hopefully the sweeps will make sure I'm further along before I'm induced. Stupidred I admire your grooming efforts! All I can be bothered with is a trim!

Awwww you're so near Simmy! I hope things move quickly for you. I found walking gives me backache and cramps although I'm still deciding whether they are self induced contractions cos they go when i stop and rest or sit.

Rest up and relax Simmy. I think the reason 70% of labours begin at night because you are most rested and relaxed (she says at 3.55am -just can't sleep). Xx

Well girls I was induced on Monday night due to little miss not growing like she should they said she'd gained 3oz in 4 weeks she came out at 6'13 and a half at 00:21 14th march. My waters broke at 10:50pm after having the tablet for starting labour at 4:30pm and I was in active labour for an hour and a bit I only had gas and air and she was out in 4 pushes I hope you both well and things progress quickly for you's x

Congratulations Sammh! She is beautiful and i bet you're glad to have her safe in your arms. How has your other little one reacted?

Another successful induction then. I won't be so quick to rule it out i don't think.

I hope you are doing well and you are home and resting x although we know there's no rest for mums really is there?

Xx

Oh my god congratulations Sammh! She's gorgeous! and congrats on your smooth birth- despite the worries about growth it sounds like it went well and she is here safe and sound now xx

Thank you girls! My little one loves her she keeps telling everyone she's a sister and it's her baby. Gracie loves baby Sienna we got home at 6pm last night we were in hospital a little over 24 hours. Birth went well better than expected I feel rather normal to be honest had midwife check today and she did blood pressure and I was all normal so I'm currently lying in bed with Gracie and Sienna while daddy tidies it's not too bad this just giving birth thing lol. I keep checking back to see if you's have had your babies yet I don't think be long for either you xx

Congratulations, she's beautiful!

Hi all, my beautiful little girl, Martha Wren, arrived yesterday morning at 10.28am weighing 7lb 10oz! I was induced at 9.30am on Sunday, took two pessaries to get things started. Started with gas and air but after 4 hours was only 2cm dilated. Because I have epilepsy I can't have diamorphine or pethidine, so it was either have the drip with only gas and air for pain relief or an epidural. I chose the epidural and it was the best decision of my life! Worked like a dream. Unfortunately I got an infection near the end which made her a bit distressed and near the end of pushing stage they had to use forceps to help her out, but overall I'd say it was a positive experience! We are still in hospital as they wanted to monitor her for 48 hours in case she had picked up the infection but we are both doing great and are due to be discharged tomorrow. Just trying to tackle breastfeeding which is proving difficult as my nipples are really flat! But not being too hard on myself and just loving her so much! Keep us updated Stupidred, fingers crossed something happens for you soon!xx

Congratulations! I'm glad all went well apart from your infection! Hope breast feeding goes well for you! X

Thanks Sammh! Unfortunately I have had huge problems getting her to latch on, but for the moment we are making it work by me pumping and feeding her that. My milk has come in well so we only very rarely have to top up with a bit of formula and my husband is able to help with feeds this way. Not sure how it will work long term as pumping will be a pain when I start going out and about but not thinking about that just yet as just getting from day to day!

Congratulations Simmy xxxx amazing well done xx

My gorgeous son Alastair arrived on his due date after a long and emotional painful labour where he got stuck and was delivered by emcs. Apparently my pelvis is too small and considering he was 9lbs!!!! I'm not surprised. Feeding going well but my bladder has been touched too much during surgery resulting in possible nerve damage so waiting to see whether i can wee without a catheter otherwise i face a week at home with a catheter :(

Hope you are all doing well. We have our babies!!! Yay
