3/5 ceph engaged.....?

Hi all

Just had an Ob appointment - shheeeesh I prefer the midwives! The docs can be so rude and abrupt!!!! Anyways - she said that the baby is 3/5 ceph. Well I know the ceph bit means bub is head down... I know that as there is a big bottom that likes to poke out up the top of my belly

What does the 3/5 bit mean? I kind of missed all this bit with DS as he just came out in an early hurry.... so not really sure what is going on.

Hey there,
It's to do with how far into your pelvis he is, how far down and ready!! although they can measure it in different ways I think-like 1/5 not engaged and 4/5 engaged. 5/5 is fully engaged. Last week mine was only 1/5 and I am now overdue!! So it sounds good and he is getting ready!

when i spoke to my midwife last she never gave me any sizes just that his head is down and engaging
