3/5 engaged??

Just been looking at my notes and on the 23/03 when I was 34 +2 it says under "presentation" ceph 3/5. I know this is in relation to how far down baby's head is in the pelvis. I have noticed that bump isn't as high as it was. Just wondered if it gets to 5/5, does that mean labour isn't far away????

3/5 means that she can feel three fifths of the babys head so when its 1/5 baby is nearly fully engaged xx

i was 3/5 engaged last week at my mw appointment too. x

Ive been 3/5 for the last 5 appointments!
Im sure hes dropped more this week so will see what mw says on friday!

im also a bit confused as my midwife said yesterday in my notes that im 3/5s palpable, google says that it means 2/5s engaged but what does this actuallymean, forgive me for being thick xxx

Don't necessarily go by this. I had my baby on Friday and when I went in to have my waters checked at 5.30am (they had broken at 2.30am but no contractions) baby's head was 4/5 palpable, yet she was born at 5.50pm after only 5 hours of contractions!!! You don't have to be engaged for labour to start!!!
